Your 3-Gun Rifle Setup?

A solid choice. I have one as my second backup gun or my fun gun if I shoot several divisions

Lol... I bought the pair originally as kind of a joke... They were going to be my "zombie" guns. Turns out they are pretty awesome and extremely reliable firearms.

Love that Apex rail!

Somewhat of a mash up...

18" stainless fluted barrel
Rolling Thunder Comp
15" handguard
JP trigger group (crisp 3 lbs)
Bushnell Elite Tactical 1-6.5x scope
Larue SPR-E QD mount
CTR stock and Overmoulded grip

Whole thing comes in at around 9.5 lbs I believe

Not wishing to hijack the thread, but was curious how you like the Elite optic.
I handled one and it seemed quite nice, but at $1500 seemed a little overpriced.
As well, which reticle did you get, and how's it working for you?

This is the set up that has got me through a few matches. Of course nothing stays the same after any shoot. Always changing and trying to improve my set-up.

- KAC SR15 18" LPR for longer range stuff.
- Noveske Gen 2 11.5 SS for everything else. I sometimes use my NF 2.5-10 on this to tighten things up.
- 14" Tac Ord 870 police (Fully Vang Comp'd) shooting FedTac flight control 00 buck, to keep my *&$% tight.
- S&W M&P Pro in .40 from a bladetec DOH. Fully Apex'd.

I use a good ole gun belt, which I find works best for now. Still a little mud on it from the last "tunnel rat" shoot at CHAS. I use a BFG slings for all my long guns. Who knows what tomorrow will bring :)

Here is my set up for 3gun.

Glock 17

JP upper on an Armalite lower

Vortex Razor HD 1-6

Benelli Nova

Now to practice, practice and more practice.

You have a trigger installed in that rifle? Great setup. Not a big fan on the pistol but I currently run a Glock 34 for gun games right now.

I like it quite a bit, I got the BTR-1 reticle, or the one with less stuff going on. Very clear and well suited to 3 gun.,

My current 3 gun rifle, it is a bit of a Franken Gun now:

Most notable features are:

STI upper and lower
ATRS 19" barrel .223 wylde 1:8 twist
JP Bennie Cooley Brake
AP Customs Carbon Fibre handguard
1-7 Sightron
Ergo 93 stock

How is that Sightron? FOV good?

I really like the glass! It does have it's limitations though!
FOV is really good!
If you are shooting targets like Colt speed steel past 300 yards or so, it can be problematic. Being that it is a SFP reticle, it will completely obscure that size of target past 350 yards or so. Also, just being a dot, it is difficult to come up with specific holdovers for anything further than 300.
The red dot, is also not useful in bright light at all.

I am currently looking for a new scope, the contenders are the Swaro, the new Leuopold and the Nightforce. If i was just shooting 3 Gun in Canada, the Sightron would be a perfect scope (we don't have anything longer than 300 here in SW Ontario anyways), but alas, the US matches, as you know, have a bit more distance to them
