I looked at the Henry's too Can-down. I think I would rather have the Browning TKD or an old school pump if i can find one. They look to be nice guns and I haven't heard anything bad said about them (I did hear the odd one comes loaded for free!)

I think the best hammerless pump .22 ever made was the Winchester model 61.....all machined steel and walnut, I love them. For hammer pumps I like the REAL old Winchester 1890's or the Winchester 62's....again all steel and walnut!
I had one of those Winnie 1906s. Quite the action on them. Fun to watch them work with the whole breech block coming up and back to #### it. Might pick up a nice one if I found it but the one I had was sloppy in the chamber and it wouldnt shoot well. Sure looked pretty on the wall though. Might consider one for a project now I have several 22s to shoot. Now I can afford to wait for a barrel.
Do the old school pump .22's slam fire??
