Hang on a second, we can put that gen2 BCG in the BCL now? this is getting more fun by the day...
Gen1 .... DPMS Gen2 is shorter

Now I'm confused as I tried a gen 2 BCG in mine and it worked.. guess it depends on the brand?
Ordered some new stuff from Brownells for the NEA 102 I dont have...lol.. they have a 30$ off and free shipping on 300$ orders right now.
So I got the Brownells 308 bolt ( looks exactly like the Aero precision one but for less money )
Now all I have left to do is wait for the next batch to see what barrels fit.

I got the aero precision one
waiting for my rifle too before I commit on a barrel
JP LMOS (DMPS Style) 308 Bolt.
Will not lock on the NoGo Gauge. Will lock up on Go Gauge.
Always consult your Gunsmith before making any of these changes. Now just waiting on my new barrel

The new bolt worked flawlessly today.
If I would make one recommendation to BCL is to offer an adjustable gas block with the rifle.
The reported issues appear to be symptoms of over gassing.
Had the gas block setting dialed in with 2 shots to ensure bolt hold open. After that, everything was perfect.
It was over gassed with the OEM gas block and BCG.
The new BCG was not a “must have” however I feel the adjustable gas block is necessary.
The LMOS BCG makes a noticeable difference in felt recoil.

Which adjustable gas block did you go with?

Has anyone with a 102 with bad gas rings looked inside the carrier to see how well it was finished? It should be polished smooth, is there machining marks in there that could be wearing the gas rings at an accelerated rate. Just wondering if it's a machining/finishing thing or poor choice of materials for the rings. They should last for a couple thousand rounds not a couple hundred.
