Good discussion. Glad to hear there is interest. Was hoping people would see these for the deal that they are. Zastava make good firearms, period. Hope Dealers reading this take note of the interest for when we call. :)

Regards,
DT

Edit: Removed buying info for later and in a different form.

I think at that price, even SIG owners and fans would get one...just because...

and I'm one of them.

I'd need to know how many mags and accessories come with it, if plated version available, and warrantee details. I will not buy without a warrantee lest we get an Norinco 228 story again.

2 mags, cleaning brush, case. None plated at this time, blue/anodized. 1 year warranty.

As for quality, I'd say these are a known quantity, used and apparently well liked for about 15 years, in a country that puts a lot of bullets downrange . "Robust" is a term usually associated with Yugo firearms. I'm confident in their ability, but curious why they haven't been regularly offered here? Any story there? Design? Marketing issue? Name? Political? High domestic requirements?;)

UKSteve, if you read this, what's the Euro view on these?

I've also wanted to get my hands on one of the Polish MAG95's or 98's. Look decent and the price would be right.

If it's truly under say $600.00 at my door I would probably by one right away. I have two 9mm's already and one is a CZ85. So I may consider a .40. What is the "fun factor" comparison between 9mm and .40? Anyone willing to give advice on this!

Cz-99

As a lefty, I find the the ergonomics great on the CZ, something that I could not get past on the 226. and would never buy. The CZ is a solid gun, great price and lefty friendly, I would definitely consider buying it.

These look interesting as well.
