Wow... I noticed the shooters were not going James Bond fast and I was like WTF I'm dissapointed... then I saw and realized there was a guy standing between the targets LOL!! That is insane!!

Same here, still want one. What's the status?
Quantity required was upped to more than we could safely handle on these and still keep everything else rolling (over 50 with 4 inquiries). If other dealers want to get in on an order, it can still happen.

Cheers,
DT

I've got a 17 year old unfired 1 out of 115 CZ 99 with wood grips + high polish finish in North America, three CZ 999 Scorpion (CZ 999 w/o selector)- a.k.a. Charles Daly ZDA and two CZ 05 - a.k.a. EAA EZ 9. I love them all to death.

SCARECROW;
Your words "I am supprised Marstar doesnt carry them seeing how they are supposed to be so great with Zastava."

As usual you display your great knowledge of a situation and then give your well informed opinion....

Is Marstar aware of these pistols ? Certainly, since we were instrumental in their developement back in the 1990s.... As a matter of fact I have several of the early, two caliber guns here, in various finishes.

These were the last pre-productions versions.... The two major wars in the Balkans did cause some delays....

We did extensive testing of our final versions, one ammo factory even attempted a "fire to detruction" program, without success....

It is a reliable and very fucntional design, in either caliber....

However after the last war we revived our plans with Zastava, production costs were up, delivery slow....

We decided, like several here on CGN have noted, that the price would be equal to or higher than many of the so called "brand names" without offering any appreciable benefits....

That is why we chose not to go ahead with the project....High cost.... Too limited a market, nothing to do with the quality or reliability....

That is the accurate story....

JOHNONE: Do you work at Marstar???
I thought that the development was done by Zastava and testing/feedback/improvement suggestions came from North America after the 1990 SHOT show. I know that TD Arms invested money into the production line in '89-'91. I am DEFINITELY interested to hear what you have to say about the development/testing (especially shoot 'til destruction) and I'm interested to find out more about pre-production guns you've got.

My experiences with these guns are the most favorable. I did have one issue with a CZ 05 out-of-the-box which was replaced by EAA under a lifetime warranty. I regret it because I could have fixed it myself (trigger bar was badly made) by slightly altering the trigger bar. I lost consecutive numbering in my two CZ 05s when it was replaced...

I did hear complaints from one American guy who was not satisfied with reliability, but what he described as "problems" with his guns were things (IMO) that normal spring replacement should have fixed. No spare parts, however, for CZ 99.

My CZ 999 Scorpion guns cost $289 ea. NIB purchased from CDNN! MSRP at the time was $589, or $300 over the lowest-priced ones I got.
I paid $400ea. for my two CZ 05s. Now you can find them for ~350.

Once again... I absolutely LOVE these guns and I keep 2 of them loaded for self-defense (I'm living in USA... perfectly proper and legal way to "store" them here). I also own Glocks, H&Ks, a Walther, but I trust my life to these Zastava CZ 99-family members and I love them more than any other guns I own.

Regards.

BTW... TOP20 - as I found out - only exists as few prototypes couple of which ended up in private ownership. They are not mass-produced (I don't know why).
