Cleaned the chamber up with the 22-284 reamer today, didn't have time to do the neck and throat though.........tomorrow.......
 
Inlaws are leaving today so I can get back to the important things at hand..........230 Douglas............working more loads for my 9.3X300 for my moose hunt.............. contouring and threading and chambering another barrel............you guys know, the IMPORTANT stuff. Could actually be test firing the 230 Douglas today...............have to modify one of my N&Ts first...........then we'll see how it goes.
 
Negative..............found out they're gonna cancel my permit if I don't finish wiring my shop by Tues, so guess what I been doing for the past 2 days and this weekend.............Sorry boys but had to change my priorities for a few days here.............will get back when I have news.......

Been there got the t shirt...... not even with electrical which is more complicated. .... just structural.... and I am a civil engineer.....

This isnt a tomorrow project Douglas.... take your time.....
 
OK boys I finished the 230 Douglas today, inletted the stock and have 'er ready to shoot............had company for dinner so I wasn't allowed to load shells, but I may later and I intend on first firing tomorrow. I might even shoot some pics for y'all..........

Good for you. It is not an easy summer for you, I believe. Moving all your trophy down south, building or renovating your workshop, taking care of the parents of your wife, broken reamers, the endless inquiries of "what is the ETA of Penguin, Douglas, Lynx, etc." And I can feel someone even doubt whether you are doing it.
Good for you to have moved to the next step. Please show us how fast it flies. Most importantly, be safe. Every time one pushes the work at too fast pace, there is danger lying underneath.
