Lower your gas, do it yesterday. 
Seriously, you're putting your rifle through needless abuse. You should run the rifle on the lowest setting it will reliably run. It only takes so much gas, to cycle the action.
What you're doing, is the same as using a sledge hammer on finishing nails.
Mine ran on 4 for less than 100 rounds, on 2 for couple thousand rounds, and 1 for the last 9-10k rounds. It'll cycle on S, but not reliably.
I'm assuming you're past "break in".

i run my L in .223 on 2 all the time. I'm only a few hundred rounds down but it will work fine on one also, however two feels a little better to me. both setting throw the brass aprx the same distance to.
Anyone notice a difference in finish on the newer keymod guns vs the older ones? Got my new "M" Micro today, and the finish is more a dark grey, when compared to my older 7.62x39 Micro, which is a deep black.
with a 7.62 bore diameter there not enough barrel wall thickness for a lighter profile barrel.
Can some one tell me how long the side and bottom rails are on the quad rail model? And would it be possible and still look as if one long rail ,if I were to attach 2 of the 3 1/2 Midwest keymod rails end on to each other?
