The Beretta CX4 Thread

I almost hate to post this,,

Have there been any trigger housing cracking problems on the new Canadian NR versions?

These problems seemed to have showed up on late model versions right out of the box and after just a few rounds.

I am wondering if anyone has come across this problem.

Here is a link to the Beretta forum on this subject.

In all my research on the cx4, this seems to be the only fly in the ointment.

Beretta USA seems to be taking care of the problems by replacing trigger housings.

If we run into this here in Canada, is Stoeger the Beretta rep to fix this problem?

Thanks for your reply. I checked out the website and I am definitely interested in them. Just to clarify as I have yet to see different lengths on their website and their pictures look like they are shrouds that fit our restricted length models. Do you have a picture you could post of yours? Do you have the NR version?

Cheers

Sorry I don't have a pic and I don't have access to the rifle right now so I won't be able to get one for a while. The ML shrouds are all the same length, long enough to cover the entire barrel of the restricted version. I put one of these on my NR. Basically you have a few inches of skinny barrel and then the shroud on the end which is of course much greater in diameter. The shroud covers most of the barrel length, probably 2/3 or more. It still looks good in my opinion, kind of like a suppressor would look on a long barreled rifle.

If you want a 45, maybe look at the HK usc/ump rifles. I have spent time with just about every pistol carbine and it comes out on top for reliability, ergonomics, fit and finish, etc. Dlask arms is $450 to convert it to NR as well.

I have one of those USC's and they are awesome. I live in NB and unfortunately the hunting regs here wont let me use anything year round bigger than a 22 centerfire. If it were not like that I would have a NR USC. Odd regs eh? Made to reduce poaching. I can carry a 22-250 year round in the woods, but If caught with a 9mm carbine I might be trying to shoot deer...

Palm hit forehead.

So with the cracked trigger housing, the gun should still function as the housing is locked inside the upper and lower receiver?

From what I read, yes the cx4 functions fine with cracked trigger housing.

It seems there was a bad batch of housings made.

Beretta in the U.S. as I read are replacing these housings.

My question is, have any cracks been found on the Canadian model?

I guess I shall soon see as I have one being delivered to me.

Lets see your CX4! Has anyone done any mods?? Share your experiences.

Here is mine (non-restricted) with a TRS-25. I really like it! cheap to reload and can use my Beretta 92 fs mags as well!

Hey Guys!

I saw a thread for the JR Carbine and said hey..... there should be a thread for the CX4.

I love these guns. I am not sure why they get overshadowed by others? My guess is that the futuristic styling of it is a bit too much for some people, who would rather the AR style carbine.

Here is mine. Pretty basic, but i still love it. It fits me beautifully.

I MUST have that For- grip . where do you order these from and how much. I really like it. Nice rifle !!

I'll play too :)

I just picked up a used CX4 that had been derestricted by Herron Arms. It came with 4 mags. I put a Minox 1.2-5x scope on it for now, so far I'm really liking it. I had it to the range for the first time on Sunday and put 150 rounds through it. so far so good.

Obligatory crappy pic.

P.S. I know my sling is upside down, I like it that way ;)

CHEAP OPTICS that work LOL.

NC Star-4x30E illuminated scope. $49.00
Leupold High scope rings. $29.00
I trotted down the block to FrontierFireArms and picked up the parts.
As you can see, I did a little Milling on the plastic at the rear so the scope would sit back further for Good eye Relief. It worked.
Its a 100 yard gun, figured 4x power was sufficient.

The scope barley clears the iron sight, but it does.

Cut down the tall side humps so it wouldn't impair the scope picture. Worked well.
