SR22 Rifle Questions

Nice job Brutus, I recognize that front vertical grip :) too bad the A2 did not work out for you.
Is that a Kidd 10" barrel I see poking out the front? If it is, please let me know if you ever decide to sell or trade it, I have been trying to get one of those for a long time. I have a nice Dlask 12" with flashhider that would suit your SR-22 (see post #352 above)

Jan Update

Because of a recent & completely unplanned firearms purchase (.45 ACP Enfield), I really needed to sell something to raise a few dollars. I decided the one rifle i could live without would be my recently assembled SR-22. I had noticed a glut of SR-22 rifles on the EE recently, so decide to part it out, rather than sell it whole. I really liked the Miad grip and MFT stock so I have kept those parts and added them to my remaining SR-22:

However to keep the O/A length legal I will need to pin the stock at the length shown in the picture. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to do this?

How about a piece of Broomhandle in the tube well limiting the collapsibility of it But still allowing it to extend?
It might fit loose. Rap some tape around it to fill the void.

Jb weld a pin into one of the holes on the buffer tube so it cant slide shorter.

I don't know whether a removable rod in the stock would be considered legal as it obviously isn't permanent. Or is this like a plug in a shotgun to limit the magazine and doesn't need to be permanent to be legal?

I thought of that too, but it should be fairly simple and unobtrusive to fasten the rear of the wood "plug" through the rear of the stock.

My solution:
I scrounged around my work bench for something to use and found this big red screw. I have no idea what it was for originally, but it seemed ideal. I just enlarged the existing hole in the rear of the carbine buffer tube and threaded the screw in until it was the perfect length, then added a little JB weld to lock it in place.

Ordered and received a (50th anniversary one) it has the collapsible stock with threaded barrel but without the flash suppressor..?

Could it be that they are sending us Canadian sport shooters the 11134 model but taking the dangerous flash suppressor off.. Lol..!

About two years ago I ALMOST bought one for $550 but changed my mind at the last minute. Now I regret not getting it since the SR-22 is going for around $650. Other than the Canadian dollar going back up, is there any chance of the Ruger SR-22 going back down in price?
 
I have noticed that SR-22 pricing and availability seems to go in cycles. Not long ago there was a glut of SR-22s in the EE and some were available at very reasonable prices. Then supply dries up a bit and prices rise. If you know what you want, are patient, and don't hesitate when it shows up, there are often good deals to be had. However if you get tired of waiting for a good deal, you can always buy the Nordic 3 piece chassis for $170USD and make your own SR-22/AR-22 from a new or used 10-22.

Cabelas had a couple on the rack for $695.00 as of last night.
