since they where on sale i picked up a Stainless Thunderbolt as well.
its in the mail as we speak.
i had told myself to more 1911's - i have enough!
i was suppose to be fleshing out a couple other guns i have on my want list, but i just couldn't pass up that SS Thunderbolt for over $100 off.
New SAMs will have chrome-lined barrels.
not sure if you guys noticed this but it seems like Wolverine is taking a preemptive strive on that BC company that is getting SAM to make them some 1911's and have dropped thier prices on all of their SAMs.
i reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeealy like the SAM i have and my dad has 3 and they are all super nice...... so....... sooooooooo..... i had to cave in and pick up another SAM.
im not sure if anyone has been watching the prices of the SAMs but the thunderbolt is now like $550, and the stainless thunderbolt is just over $600.
the tactical commander (which i have) is just over $400 - unreal price for that gun!
so once again, im sorry, tell your wives im sorry but someone had to tell you guys about the price drop.
this may be the death of the Norinco 1911 in Canada!
(just kidding)
but anyone who would pay $380 for a Norinco instead of $375 for a SAM is crazy!
I believe rails are now allowed in classic.
what did you have done to the gun?
Damnnnnnnnn son!
look what the post man dropped off today!
i am very impressed!
i wanted a shiny 1911 and my 2 Ruger SR1911's are not shiny.
this one IS shiny!
ill go into it later but quick highlight reel for this one;
SAM Thunderbolt Stainless Version 2 (the version one is like the Ruger kind of a dull stainless or 'brushed stainless' i think they call it)
gun has some weight to it!!!!
front and rear slide serration (which i like)
extended slide release (which i like being a left handed shooter, easier to hit with my trigger finger
extended AMBI saftey (nice touch)
built in mag well with the main house spring (saves me $80 to buy one)
very aggressive pattern on the mag release
front strap cuts - my first 1911 with this - me likey!
rear target sites
just took it out of the box and give it a quick wipe with a cloth to get the oil off.
slide to frame finish is super nice, cycles real smooth - no rattling at all.
ill take it to the range tomorrow and report back.

Can we get some more pictures of all y'alls SAMs?
I was surprised by the apparent finish quality on that stainless. Can anyone show me that I am underestimating the finish quality on these guns?
your wife called me, she wanted me to tell you that you dont want one of these - they are nasty and bad.
