25 Yard Freestyle Accuracy.....let's play a game.

A little off topic because this was at 55 yards/50 meters, and with my ugly gun. lol

But I'm feeling pretty good about this because this is my first practice of the year at this distance.

All is not cherry, had one mysterious flyer, the third last shot.

Nice day to be outside and shooting! ;)

A few pages ago I posted my effort on my third ever trip to the range. I'm now up to 800 rounds of 9mm and 1500 rounds of .22lr in experience so figured I'd try again. This was my second effort of the day and I was very pleased with this progress in the span of a few weeks.

Still a lot of practice needed for me but it was sunny and nice out.

.RIA 1911, .45 ACP...1x9 + 2x7 = 23

S&W 617 .22
1X, 1x10 + 2x9 + 1x8 + 4x7 = 63 + 1X

Then I did some double action and single action shooting at ten yds. I was shooting quickly.

Im not happy with my walther results, shot this one last after 750 .40 rounds and 50 b8 targets later so my hands were getting sore and stiff.

My gsg treated me well

My glock did really well today,I.drifted the rear sight like you guys suggested, thanks for that!

Anybody ever shot a sti edge? Hands down the best pistol I ever shot! A guy at the range let me shoot it with his premium reloads, wow! I gave him some b8's and he pretty much made perfect scores everytime and I shot my best target yet I guess theres a reason the gun is so expensive.

I can now keep them in the black 90% of the time, every 2 shots I reholster and drop my arms to rest them and relax my hands.

Those are all great groups skoal. Scoring is easy, each shot is worth a possible ten points, after that you count the X-ring hits. Your Glock target looks like a 99-5X, which is an outstanding score.

Getting better! hopefully next time out I can keep them all in the black. My 3rd and 4th try at it. It's all about finding the target, finding the front sight, and not moving lol.

... and not moving lol.

You are going to get movement...unless you are made of concrete. If you can accept that (not saying you can't), and work with the movement and anticipate it, you will find success there. One instructor I had indicated to cause the little movements to make the shape of little figure-eights, where the centre of the "8" is your POI. Then after a couple of rotations (not more), you should be able to squeeze off a round just as the sights are zero-ing in on the centre of the figure-eight.

Good shooting by the way!

Got my 929 back and decided to try a few rounds with original sights. It's a good day when I can keep 'em in the black.
Best score was 96-2X after 10 attempts today. I do find I sometimes throw one off doing a moonclip change and keeping count for 10 rds only for these tests.
It's all fun :)

Nice! Those hand loads or factory rounds? Where was your gun that it just came back from?
