M14s 2500rd Review and a DIY Mod-Stock walk through

All the NEA 870 adapters I saw seem to be slightly different from the one used for this mod...
xURSOx can you please confirm that the one below is the same one you used?

nope that's not the one
I'm pretty sure it was a rem870 adaptor but I could be wrong, can't find my receipt as it was a while ago.
here's a pic of one of mine. same one as OP's but I shave some aluminum off the front face between pistol grip and trigger guard.

What is the compound you put over the bolt head and support block?

I just checked the larger pic in the link and your right it is a different adapter. There is no mounting lug at the top center of the adapter and the front of it by the trigger guard looks different as well .

I added a textured area on the forestock and my Vickers sling off my AR ...what a difference that sling makes ..luv it !! The Eotech and Ultimak rail add some weight to the front of the rifle and with the butt stock modification it is even more noticeable.
Mr Vickers ..WELL DONE SIR ..! That sling takes a lot of the weight off the front end and cant wait to get out to the range instead of walking up and down my hallway doing mag changes ...lol

That is the one I used. Sorry, I meant that I used the NEA 870 adapter. Slightly different than that one. But I did order the one from SFRC.

Changing mags on the move baby ...how sweet it is .
And I am always looking in the mirror...cuz as long as you look good doing it everything else will fall into place ...right Barney !!

I got out to one of our local shooting areas today ,,,,some people see it as garbage left behind by stupid , lazy , lowlifes .....I see targets of opportunity ...lol

I am not sure as I just put on the new skeleton butt stock a couple days ago. I also have a LSS stock on a rem 700 youth model 243 pencil barrel ...now that is a light rifle !!.

^ About the best you can do is guesstimate off this pic. You can cut it back a bit more or less, millimeters either way, but this is probably as short as you'd want to go.

I've just copied one of the pics that xURSOx submitted.

Yup, trail and error. Start by leaving yourself some room to take off more. After I made the first cut, it took me an hour of filing and fitting to get it "just right". After putting it all together I ended up taking it off and filing it again cause I wasn't happy with the angle.

^^ This is exactly what I did as well.
