I believe this is a Fieseler FI 97 - low wing sporty monoplane critter with some STOL tendencies. Who the frig knows what Jerry had in mind rigging this up, though. Poor man's A10 Warthog, I guess.

I was thinking BF-108 but it is not 'chubby' enough for a BF108. The Feisler guess is probably right. So they are diving into action & firing, the weapon has a max range of 100 yards (looping trajectory) - hmmm. . . .

Inglis on the back shelf, Mauser of some sort next to a 22 leaning against the back and maybe a hull machine gun from something panzerish laying across the back left fender under the Brownings?

It looks like a flare gun to the right of the Browning pistol. It is too poor to tell, but it could be one of the double barreled Luftwaffe flare guns or maybe an LP-42. I am tending to think it is one of the double barreled Luftwaffe dealios though.Not sure of the exact nomenclature for it, hence the term: 'dealio'.

18.5mm max. from what I have read Ganderite. About 3/4". The Type XXI might have been a bit thicker, but probably not by much.

that's about right. 18-20 mm. Later Type VII's had up to 21 mm
