CFB Petawawa PR Clinic/Match 09-10 May 2015 - Debrief here!

I hope it doesn't get canceled, would hate to miss this opportunity. Not to mention my hotel is all paid up, and I took the less expensive non refundable option.

Chalkriver is working his ass off to make sure this clinic happens. The range closure was unexpected and beyond our control.

oh man, not only am I internationally challenged in my ability to attend, now I have to deal with the uncertainty of whether it is on or not. I am trying my best to be able to attend even at last minute if possible and Jahweh will let me. Hope this gets off the ground. Couldn't do last year, spend all year modding my boomstick in accordance with Barney's recoms. Look forward to putting it to work.

@TacticalTeacher. I am that last minute dude if there is room at that time. Should know my schedule nlt 24 Apr. If not, no harm no foul. Appreciate your efforts.

@vviking. Thanks for the prompt

Yeah folks, we are going to work with what we've got. No need to make a decision YET, since Chalkriver is in comms with Range Control. So everyone, let's just hold on and see what shakes out. We still have more than a few weeks.

Cross your fingers!

Cheers and keep helping them nooobies out there!

Barney

No updates as of yet...it was approved by 2 of the signing authorities and we are waiting on someone to sign off on it. It is very likely going to happen but its aquestion of when .

No news about the range availability YET... Monday morning. We are still on "range watch". I am employing all my learned Buddhist techniques on distractions and patience. :)

Cheers,
Barney

My partner and myself would very much like to attend the precision sessions, but our 6.5x47 cal. rifles preclude us from doing so. Is there some way this caliber can be included along side the 338 Lapua for range templating in the near future?

So, a simple common sense conversation about ballistics will result in no changes to the current edict?

Unfortunately, no. There are a lot of hoops to jump through and approvals/licenses required. For example on one of the ranges 338 is authorized but 45 is not. It doesn't make sense but their range, their rules.
