How many rounds can ou put through a Tavor without cleaning before you can malfunctions? 1000? 5000? more? Assuming regular plinking ammo link PMC or Federal American Eagle
 
Just got my new Tavor. Installed the Geissele super sabra trigger and the MI XL keymod rail! Wearing a Trijicon MRO, Surefire M600 Ultra and the Manticore arms cureved buttpad!

With the hammer/sear pack you are only feeling 50% of of the improvement. The bow gets rid of all the slop and makes the Super Sabra feel like a mirror of the SSA.

The lighting bow is the single biggest improvement one can do to the Tavor.

Been kinda frugal with firarms purchases since october, just cant seem to bring myself to dropping 500$ on a trigger for my misunderstood tel aviv beauty. Putting my money in other hobbies and education now.

Im still a pretty good shot offhand with it, can pop six inch plates at 100 yards with the irons on it but a gentle trigger would help i agree. My acr needs a trigger too. But alas she is misunderstood as well and I fear that an upgrade for her is just not in the books.

with the irons that are built into the rail, or the secondary flip up iron sights that come on the newer Gen tavors?

no i put some kac flip irons on it. wife put ab bit of nail polish on the front post, coral pink.
then i got a mepro 21 for it, and low and behold the glass has a coral pink filter so that doesnt work anymore :( like wtf what are the odds! i guess coral blue would be the spectrum opposite?
gotta find that nail polish now.

Tavor arrived yesterday. Tossed on a vortex 1-4x scope that I bought for it. Now just waiting for my keymod XL and my trigger to arrive. Not sure how I feel about FDE, as I've always been more of a black gun kind of guy... but the price was right so we'll go with this for now. Now I just need it to warm up a bit so I can hit the range.

So with the latest gen, the updated trigger group has no return spring that is removable to lighten the trigger pull.

Has anyone found a way to improve it, prior to buying a new group or trigger? I'm waiting to buy my Geissele stuff until April or so.
 
This is the perfect thread for a "green" Tavor owner. Thank you for putting it together!!!!!

I do not have pics of mine yet, but I threw an Elcan C79 and a Hera Arms muzzle device on it. The Elcan makes the gun weigh a lot more, but overall the rifle feels perfectly balanced. I will give a range report this weekend! Also, I did have a Spatha Tactical thread on muzzle device before on the rifle, but the amount of gases that it threw back in my face was unbearable. I hope the Hera is less intense.
