11mm Leupold rings fit and look great on my 455 American as well
only sad part is I need high, the bolt throw is too high for mediums...
Depends on scope. I am able to use the 11mm mediums to mount my Leupold VX-2 3-9x33 EFR and it's a near-perfect fit.only sad part is I need high, the bolt throw is too high for mediums...

I am about to mount the same scope to my 455. Do you have any pictures showing the clearance? What rings did you go with?

Just measured it and I'll admit it is 11mm. Not sure why the leupold rings (# 54234 11mm high) don't fit worth a crap. I found a spare set of them I had in the drawer and evened tryed them to refresh my memory. Same issues. Would not suggest these rings as the 3/8 worked without issue
Did you try flipping the loose dovetail clamping piece around on the ring base? My 11mm leupold rings were cockeyed too, until I realized that the piece that is tightened to the receiver dovetail with the Torx screw was upside down... Straight from the store that way too. It does seem to matter which way the orientation is.
What do you guys like to use to bring that cheek weld up ? Leather maybe? Non perm? Don't wana ruin the stock... I may just get the tacticool stock and use the permanent tac pro riser... last resort though, haven't even shot the rifle already cant stand wiggling around trying to find the proper spot
