M39 picure thread!!!

Public service notice for the day. P&s has Finn slings for $25. Also Liberty tree has several sling types, all Finn, as well as muzzle covers, oil bottles and other bits and bobs for these. Not likely they will last long. Now is the time to accessorize.
I will say the ordering system that P&s has is state of the art... but there are not much options we have here in Canada.

Are all those accessories WW2 configuration?

Could you let us know which is the proper sling and muzzle cap for WW2.

Dam, these babies are addictive.

I now have a Sako and a VKT, both look to be original WW2.

Ahhh, google was my friend!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ht tp://www.warrelics.eu/forum/finnish-militaria/some-finnish-rifle-slings-272699/

Go to the Liberty Tree Collectors site and look. They describe everything in detail.

Liberty tree has online checkout. If you are getting other stuff, might be worth ordering everything in one place.

I picked up a few more muzzle caps from them the other day and a post war green sling. I already have several good examples of Finnish oil bottles.

I'd like to get a complete Finn cleaning kit. I only know one place that sells them stateside and they don't ship to Canada. I don;t want to drive down to NY state though for a $15 cleaning kit :(

Having multiple of a uncommon collectibe firearm is greedy. 2 is fine .. 1 to shoot 1 to keep mint but 3+ really? You're just taking away the enjoyment from other people so u can brag

That's a very common theory promoted on a regular basis by people that can't afford more than one or two. Milsurps are a fine and profitable way to invest money as well. Depending on the circumstances, better than gold.

I think the theory goes that if collectors were not accumulators, the prices would be very low for everyone because supply would outstrip demand... except that is a grade school grasp of economics. Lower prices would result in fewer imports and prices would still be high, I'd just own fewer nice guns.

Im waiting for mine to show up,i only purchased one with the help of Claven2 i decided on M39-49 looks to be a nice rifle. Will have to wait and see .
