USPSA shooter shooting IPSC in Canada.. Black badge needed?

Please explain how what issues come from my attitude?

I rather not jump hoops for nothing, when I can do the exact and better where I'm at right now? This form is full of egos.. I'm glad I'm not shooting in Canada. So much for friendly Canadians.... Americans are way nicer online and offline.

You came here telling us you have better place to shoot and apparently it is us who have egos. If you don't get it there is no point to explain. One thing for sure, no one going to beg you to shoot in Canada, you are the one who wanted it in the first place.

USA is a better place to shoot.

USA is a better place to shoot.

Bsand, have you attempted to communicate with IPSC BC and see if they can accommodate you because of your mad USPSA acquired skills and if they would allow you to pay into IPSC BC membership, provided you show your USPSA credentials and matches that you have participated in? I pay both USPSA membership and IPSC Ontario membership to play. And up here you can practice more mag changes with our 10 round capacity.

I shot regularly in USPSA matches in Fulton NY (I was a club member there), as well as IPSC matches in Canada. I disagree with either country being better to shoot. I enjoyed shooting in both countries. I remember being welcomed at a Florida shoot where I knew nobody as I traveled by myself with my brother that was not a shooter, and they made me feel right at home. I have the same feeling shooting at matches here in Canada. The only thing that I do like about US matches is that even the local club matches in USPSA that I shot, we usually had over 100 competitors from all over. In the winter, it went down to about 60 competitors as all the shoots were outdoors, yes, in the snow. We do not have that kind of participation here, unfortunately. As far as the mag capacity goes, yeah it sucks, but I feel that it does not dampen our sport any, as other countries have the same and even more restrictions. We just have to incorporate a mag change when we move.

Anyone I know that competes in different types of shooting sports have different mags for each one, last thing they want to do is accidentally put extra rounds in a high cap mag and get penalties for shooting more than allowed. If your shooting USPSA production you should already have some 10 or pinned to 10 rounders, if not, its not like buying 4 - 6 more mags that you can use for Canada IPSC is really a big deal considering you can still use them for USPSA, or pin some 15 rounders to 10 and use for IPSC Canada, USPSA and pull the rivets for any IPSC outside of Canada. I find it hard to believe that anyone that shoots an action shooting sport doesnt have at least a few extra mags kicking around and if they dont they should considering corwin arms has 4 packs od CZ, Sig and Beretta 10 round mags on $99.

The fact is I have 18 round magazines, shooting in Canada requires either pinning or getting new 10 round magazines. Which isn't happening.
This is simple. bring a drill and a rivet tool. simply rivet the mags limiting them to ten, and then drill the rivet out when you return to the states.

Well.. Some of us don't need 18 rounds in a mag to score well.

You've established that you don't want to shoot ipsc in Canada and/or cannot afford to purchase 4 ten round magazines.. Fine.

IPSC Canada's loss is USPSA's gain I guess.

If you are shooting USPSA Production, you may want to think about pinning to 10 rounds. It would be really easy to load a partial mag past 10 rounds. In USPSA would that be a procedural or a bump to Open div?

I'm not going to pin 60$ usd magazines. This thread is done.

The matter of fact is I'm not buying new magazines plus black badge. If it was just 10 round magazines I probably would. Since it's 10 round magazines plus 300$ bb.

Considering I can shoot and move at my club in usa, wheres at the one in Canada I can't even draw from a holster. USA is much more fun to shoot in.

Regarding hi caps, that's why you count rounds as u reload magazines. My high capacity have a sight at 10, 15 and 18.
I just shot a 6 stage match at my club, it was snowing and we still had ~40 shooters show up.

Nope, I just have to be more diligent when loading magazines. I'm not going to bastardize my cz magazines with pins. Not going to happen. Yes if you have more than 10 you get bumped to open. I have a Barney magazine with 11 rounds prior to start. Stages where it's unloaded start I remove the Barney round.
