Let's see some pics of your Pimped out Troy PAR

Took mine to the range finally a few weeks back and was really surprised how accurate it was. It shot nice groups at the 100 yard.

I'm going to switch from the side folder to a magpul PRS. I picked up a bunch of the adaptors to switch it over so you can swap your side folder to a buffer tube style stock.

Here's some pics of the adaptors, they were pricey after conversion and shipping but its worth it as that side folder isn't cutting for me.

Did you also order the anti rotation pin for the buffer tube extension?

If using the buffer tube (non folding) stock how short a barrel could be used and maintain NR status?

I'd like a light profile barrel without chamber flutes that is as short as possible while remaining NR. With that combo I wouldn't mind a pump instead of a semi auto NR rifle.

Here's mine with a Rainier Arms Match .223 Wylde Barrel. I had a bunch of problems with the factory barrel not cycling so I had to replace the barrel, I'm glad I did though. Cleaner chamber and bolt now.
I found that the magpul qd paraclip adapter was the only qd that would fit in the qd hole.

Looks great, I like the matte stainless barrel. 14.5" barrel plus muzzle device?

I'm pretty sure it's been posted a few times in this thread that 16" is the shortest you can go for barrel length due to the collar for the pump mechanism. I think it has more to do with barrel profile than actual length. I believe they nee to be "mid length gas system" profile. Since we can't cut barrels shorter than 18.5" we are stuck with what ever the shortest mid length barrels come manufactured at. But I could be mistaken...

Post #70:
Just a heads up to PAR 308 owners: The 2" Troy TRX rail that fits on the bottom of the .223 rifle for bipod mounting does not fit on the .308. The 2" rail needs 3 holes to mount, but the .308 only has 2 holes in front of the pump.

Update:
My buddy elimsprint, who is a talented amateur machinist and gunsmith, modified the 2" Troy rail to work on my .308 PAR. The rear circular rail protrusion fits into the 2nd to last hole in the handguard, while the front protrursion was machined off and a hole was drilled through the handguard. There is approximately 1.5mm of clearance between the lower pump rail and the new 2" front rail. The new rail extends slightly passed the end of the handguard:

Couple of questions for you if you don't mind. That Atlas is that a copy or the real one. Which model of sightron scope is that and what are they going for. Nice scope

The bipod is a knock-off, I bought it for my ARX-160 .22, I'm not sure if it will stand up to use on the .308, but will give it a try and see what happens. The Sightron is an S1H-TAC 4-12, I don't remember what I paid for it, I have had it for several years on different rifles. They are currently $304 at Hirsch Precision. Good value for the money in my opinion.

Good value for money at that price.

I will be duplicating your idea for my 308. I have a similar 3 to 9 sightron stac and it's good scope for the money I agree

Necro bump just to see if anyone had managed to SBR their PAR yet. If the rail is 13" and the pump comes up shorter than mid-length, couldn't one get a short barrel re-profiled to fit through the pump (can anyone tell me the ID of the pump piece?) and thus run something like a 10.5" barrel with a long linear comp to just clear the 13" hand guard? Or even a 12.5" barrel and short linear comp? Or a custom barrel that just clears the rail.

Some good photos of the innards of the rifle would be very much appreciated!

Anyone consider adapting a gas system and converting these to semi auto? If the receiver is unmodified and barrell is over 18.5" I don't see why they wouldn't keep unrestricted status...

A system somewhat like the Sig MCX (no buffer tube needed) should be possible and relatively straightforward. Just an idea.
