There are a number of videos on YouTube dealing with armored trains. The Great War did one and so did Military History Visualized. Also The Smithsonian Channel is doing a series on combat trains.

I know its in Serbian, but you get to see the armored train in action. Reading the wiki on it, it basically covers the basics of the train.
In the video, it mentioned its never been successfully attacked. the RPG hit was ineffective due to the shaped charge being detonated too early by the rubber covering over the armor. Similar to how the slat armor work on Strykers
...man, that war really brings up some messed up feelings in me, and i was a kid far away from fighting...

The re-writing of history is right out of Orwell's "1984". Better to remember the past, learn from it and look forward. Removing the statue will not erase the fact. How about removing the statues of the martyred Jesuits that were tortured and killed by the Iroquois? We've always been good about slaughtering each other in human history.
That will never change and all the hand wringing, blaming and politically correct re-writing of history will not erase the past.

There is a more common version used to cross the Bug River in 1941, it has an electric extendable bridge for infantry to run across.
