I know its in Serbian, but you get to see the armored train in action. Reading the wiki on it, it basically covers the basics of the train.

In the video, it mentioned its never been successfully attacked. the RPG hit was ineffective due to the shaped charge being detonated too early by the rubber covering over the armor. Similar to how the slat armor work on Strykers

...man, that war really brings up some messed up feelings in me, and i was a kid far away from fighting...

Gents, it needs to be remembered that Yugoslavia was a unified country not a year prior to this....we all looked the same, spoke the same language....and look at the #### that turned into.

Like the clamour to remove the statue of General Cornwallis in Nova Scotia because he once signed an order to pay a bounty on the scalps of natives?

The re-writing of history is right out of Orwell's "1984". Better to remember the past, learn from it and look forward. Removing the statue will not erase the fact. How about removing the statues of the martyred Jesuits that were tortured and killed by the Iroquois? We've always been good about slaughtering each other in human history.

That will never change and all the hand wringing, blaming and politically correct re-writing of history will not erase the past.

The Pz IV was the Frank's hot sauce of the Panzer Corps. They used that sh!t for everything. Just a few more examples:

And.I'm sure we're just scratching the surface. Something like 9000 IV's made, they were the real workhorse of German armour.

you are probably correct, it must have been a problem, keeping large number of troops occupied with something to do, i have always read, that was one of the reasons, Canadian troops went to Dieppe, they were getting fed up with constant training, and wanted action , Mackenzie King, never wanted a large Canadian Army overseas, as he was terrified of large number of casualties, and have to bring in conscription, and then lose his power in Quebec

I don't know if that was one of the reasons or not, but there were plenty of other folks who were keen that we not show up some others the way we did in WWI.

"Alright, lads. You can thank Perkins for the next three hours of your life. Perkins here left his billet in an unspeakable state because PERKINS IS AN UNSPEAKABLE PERSON! AND SO YOU LOT CAN TURN OUT ON THE PARADE GROUNDS WITH THE REST OF THE F*%#$@ SHRINERS! ON YOUR BIKES, YOU RABBLE!

Perkins was very sorry indeed, and never left a used condom on the top shelf of his locker ever, ever again.

(You know that, if the Sgt. stepped away for even a moment, the whole thing would devolve into "neeeooowww takka takka takka"...)

Good idea to save fuel and aircraft maintenance hours. Just hope the future pilots don't get into the habit of pumping their rudder pedals to go faster. :)
