Wilson Combat for years and may still , lists Norincos as a gun they will work on. They would not work on Kimbers.
I used a Norc frame and slide to have Joe Dlask do me a build on a 1911 several years ago. Norinco frames and slides are as good as it gets as far as the steel is concerned. The gun is one of three I would never sell.
Not sure what all the anti Turkey sentiment is all about. Turkey is a member of NATO and a Western Ally in every respect. That aside CZ shotguns are made there and are as good as it gets for the price you pay. The Girsan line of 92F clones are well made and are great value.
I am not sure the Norcs of today are not more hit and miss than in past years. A friend of mine bought an NP29 that was a jam a matic with serious timing issues. The links on the the newer 1911's may or may not be the correct size. There are a lot more good ones than bad which likely describes several value makers these days.....Ruger for instance.
I personally would buy a gently used name brand over new Norcs in most cases today. Why but a Norc copy of a CZ when gently used 75B's can be had for $600 - $700 on the EE. I have seen next to new M&P's go for under $500. Just saying.
The down side to the Norcs is you can't compete with them in the US, something I didn't consider when I had Joe do his magic on my 1911.
The brand does get more folks in to the shooting sports and that is all good.
Take Care
