Wow... You haven't got it yet? At this stage I'd be worried they ship you returned sloppy seconds. Make sure the bag is sealed when you open it. Original unopened guns come in a sealed plastic sleeve.

I hate to say it, but I wasn't hearing a damn thing until I started calling and e-mailing. Politely. But the squeaky wheels seem to be the ones that got the grease, where folders are concerned.
Hmm interesting, did you speak with Neil? He never said anything like that to me. I asked if he could inspect the replacement before shipping it to me and he assured that he would. As it played out he was unable to inspect it but I’m assuming someone did as it arrived with the bag open already and in great shape.

Mine should be arriving back to them on Tuesday. I've been dealing with Neil and just as Visleguy said was only given instructions on how to return the rifle. Will report back with how things play out. I'm hopeful it goes like it did for Visle

Yeah I don't want one if its as bad or worse so I'm not taking the gamble and I am retuning for refund. I did not know that a straight rifle was to high of expectations when I got on this type 81 ride had I known a visibly bent receiver was within manufacturing tolerances I would not have bothered at all. I honestly don't blame TI its my mistake I'm still relatively new to firearms there is much I do not know about them and other things like proper grammar punctuation spelling or wiping properly oh well learning the hard way FOR F#*K SAKE!!
Fair enough. I took the gamble and fortunately I’m happy I did. Trust me, I was torn on sending mine back for replacement with worries of getting one back that was just as bad if not worse. I hope for your sake that TI waves the restocking fee.
WRONG. You should blame TI, a straight rifle is a fair expectation, and this fiasco is a function of TI not paying for better QA/QC. The only QA was the (I think it was 70?) rifles they looked over at the factory before accepting the shipment.
At $1000 per copy, they should have had their own QA/QC inspector there for manufacture individually accepting each rifle.

I hope your refund process goes smoothly and it's too bad you got a bent rifle, they're a really fun blaster if you overlook the little things (bent is not a little thing). Hopefully you don't get burned on the M10x, I'm very skeptical of that company after the comments of the CEO during the Wanstalls fiasco.
I'm not disagreeing but I think that if they had gone to those lengths they would have had to raise the price of the rifles to cover the additional costs and time required to inspect every rifle. I think they probably looked at it like it would be easier and cheaper to just replace the odd rifle rather than make sure every rifle was as it should be before it was packed in the sea-can.
My biggest concern (even though it didn't affect me) was the shipping schedule. It blows my mind how long it took them to get these into their customers hands. Some like me were lucky to be very early on the list but I think that someone posted that they still haven't gotten theirs. That's just rude, especially since they've been so silent and haven't bothered to provide an explanation as far as I know.

The way I look at it, they went to China anyway. Having a guy stay a week to go through the rifles and do a quick check to ensure bolt lockback works, and the rifle visually free from defects would have been a tiny cost over 2000 rifles - which is the supposed production run.
That they didn't do this, I think, is naivety/gullibility on their part, not maliciousness or a conscious effort to accept a failure rate as a cheaper option. What price can you put on reputation in this business?
I also cannot believe some rifles have not shipped and if ti were to do this over, I'm sure they would do it differently.
I mean... Need I do more than mention how they allocated mags to orders???
Or how about how guys who were day 1 pre-orders didn't get shipped a rifle until December and in most cases were short shipped all but 2 mags, no bonus mag, and even no sling according to some posters here. Meanwhile, post-import impulse buyers got shipped guns on day 1 of shipping operations with as many mags as they wanted. It's scandalous and they will rightly pay a price in lost future business for that cr@p.
