Marihuana at Hunting Camp.

Lighten up folks, safety seems to be the main concern and as long as people are safe we shouldn't worry to much about their state of impairment.
Fact is some were born impaired and others have to work at it.

SuperBrad, your camp sounds more like a resort..... :)

Respect should go both ways, if a person doesn't want to have a glass of wine with dinner, or a beer after a good day, or a cigar in the evening etc.... that should be fine with the people that do.
It should also be fine for the abstinent types to let other people enjoy themselves responsibly.

Neither position should be seen as a lack of respect towards the other. Of course if you want to smoke around others that don't.... take it outside and down wind.

Specially in Grizz country, I sleep with my 870 in my sleeping bag...lol... Love to see the eastcoast boyz trying to get the locked away rifles out while a bear eats them...lol... Heck even with me having it at arms reach ill probbaly still be bear food...lol...

If the're grizzlies around this guy doesnt drink for some reason....lol....

On the mark again..... unfortunately, many people don’t live by this philosophy..... I once had a guy (after I told him to take his smoke outside), tell me he paid his $300 and should be able to smoke wherever he wants....

As long as it get me away for a week from civilization im happy. No phone no internet no CGN :)

Thats what hunting is about. Total disconnect from the grind. Some of you have your rules ( and I respect that ) some of us dont ( because or jobs have to many of them ) . As long as everyone is happy thats all that matters.

I have a small piece of land bordering on some crown near Timmins.... have been thinking about a setup that size rather than having to put a tent up each time I go......

Your cell phone comment made me laugh..... if the moon and stars align and the wind is coming from the north east at 5 knots, you may get one bar at my camp..... but it’s funny as hell to watch the guys try.....
 
Those who say marijuana is dangerous to me seem like guys that tried to ride a motorbike once without any idea what they were doing. They were ametures, made mistakes, felt out of control, and maybe even got hurt or hurt someone else. Well thats what happens when you have zero experience and go ahead with something anyways. Then there are operators who have experience and knowledge that are able to use the tool correctly. They know not to crack the throttle in 1st or to try and use only the front brakes.

I would imagine the ones here who are assuming a few tokes will turn their hunting partners into crack heads have never ever tried marijuana or maybe had one bad experience.


Hey, im still afraid of motorcycles. Haha
 
Reading this thread reminds me why I am a better hunter on SOLO hunts....booze, marijauna etc has no place in Society and definitley not in a hunting camp.

IF you need that "stuff" to feel good or better about yourself or your envirement than you really have ALOT to learn about life?

I would get more satisfaction by foraging wild mint, chaga or other wild plants and having a nice cup of tea?

We had a guy like that in camp..... actually technically still do..... he is the son of one of the regulars.....

He spent the better part of the week #####ing about the lack of nitrate free lunch meat, gluten free bread etc, while lecturing us all on the evils of alcohol.... all from a guy who paid $0 to be there.....

Have you always been booze and dope free?..... you sound like a born again.....

You should also be aware of where you are putting your question marks as you type...

Hed have to get his butt out of his truck for that...lol... Its been actually added to the emergency shelter list for the local snowmobile club. lol... So unless some duchebags find it and decides to trash it, its safe :)

By adding it to the list of shelters, The timber companies cant tear it down either... lol...

If you were really happy and satisfied with your life, you would probably not feel the need to judge others.
Put that in your cup and drink it...... :)
