and those people can pucker up and kiss my a$$. It's the only thing that controls my nerve pain (outside of reigniting an addiction to hydromorph) and lets me sleep (another addiction opportunity with Zopiclone on that front).

I
Are people really that anal about having guns "put away" before someone has a beer? I can promise in a wall tent the booze and the guns are within feet of each other, has never been an issue for us.

Most of the time we just make sure there is no round in the chamber, then put your rifle wherever is convenient. In the corner, beside your cot, whatever. When you are in a tent in the mountains and there are grizzlies around, I lay my rifle beside my sleeping bag, round chambered and safety on. Inside an actual cabin, we unload completely and lean it in the corner. But I sure as hell don't "inspect" my buddies gun.

We are all adults, so we don't need to lock the guns up or put them in a rack etc.

Do you own any hunting land yourself?:.... or do you just like to throw out opinions?.....

Again, no issues with weed when it isn’t mixed with gun handling....

What does owning land have to do with retarded opinions that dimeN is saying? That's what I'm talking about, the if you smoke weed you're a junkie and weed is somehow putting the camp at risk yet alcohol consumption is not comments. Saying that is like saying masturbating is going to make you go blind or grow hair on you're palms, it's just ridiculous.

I have no problem with hunt camp rules, it's no different than going to a friend's cabin or house or borrowing a car for the weekend. Their property their rules, I think there's some confusion here over the point I'm trying to get across. No where have I said I condone getting drunk or stoned and actively hunting, that's a no brainer. You're out hunting you can wait till the day is over before relaxing. Some basic do's and dont's while hunting are a good thing.

Its because of guys like you that we need rules unfortunately..... Last I checked, the safe storage laws are a federal thing, not an "East West thing"....

I was blown up in Afghanistan and at the peak of the medical systems "treatment" for me I was on 26 pills per day. I'm on 6 pills a day now with a license to use both CBD and THC.

So I guess to some of you I qualify as a "stoner" or "blazer" or whatever assh*le adjective you make up in your mind to describe a guy like me who uses those things daily....but it beats what the massive doses of chemicals were doing to my kidneys, liver and heart.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::bangHead::jerkit:
Thank you for your service to our country!

I watched this interesting documentary last night called "Reefer Madness". It's a bit dated, but it really hits home. I didn't realize how horrible "The Devil's Lettuce" is, and that if I tried it, it would make me want to dance to jazz music.. My god..... JAZZ music. Imagine the horror!

For the impending raid on hunt camps that somehow find hunting rifles. O good heavens. We definitely need rules to govern such behaviour.

And to think it's ten times more powerful today. Certainly not a drug you want your children getting involved with. In the good ol' days you'd just giggle and get the munchies.

I say this as someone who has never smoked pot.

I know. It's so bad. I'm always hearing about pot overdoses on the news. It's an epidemic.

And what did Gatehouse do that requires rules be enforced? The firearm is unloaded, and in a cabin with himself and other hunters. It's not going to get up and walk out the front door on its own, nor is someone going to look over and say " oh yeah, we've got guns here, let's go do something stupid!"

so well tone down the terminology for you butcherbill, so he can go back to pushing the benefits of substance abuse and it'll make it all OK. We do need more positive PR for smoking drugs !!

Hopefully you're past the age where peer pressure will have a negative affect on you making poor life choices and end up in the gutter. Marijuana addiction is such a waste of life.

You do realize that you are not gonna come out of this public back 'n forth without your opinion looking bad, right?
If you want to attack recreational user's you will look small-minded ( but many will stand with you though); but attacking a CF veteran who uses it for treatment for wounds received ' In the service of...' in lieu of a handfull of pills...tough road to travel dimebag.
Not attacking hippies in the park now... your footing is getting precarious.

just the so called " recreational use" is what i have a problem with ! People have real medical needs for medicine ( and that is a completely different and absolutely necessary for those individuals ) I've never had a problem with people that have a genuine medical need and only wish them a speedy recovery and good health.

This thread has been shocking to me.
I didn't realize there were people out there who were anti recreational pot. I thought that ship had sailed a few decades ago.
