Unfortunate Experience

Maybe you're right. Seems that trying to get good customer service is a thing of the past. Just need to accept what you get now days.
I'll leave it up to Trade Ex. Do you still want my business? If so I'll give you another chance. And don't worry, I won't ask you to hold any more guns for me.

yah. simplify your life. buy it. move on. no one is gonna kiss your ass and pat your head. you should have been patient and resolved the issue privately. never a good idea to go public half cocked.

I tried to buy a sling and they wouldn’t sell it to me because it didn’t meet minimum order status.

The whole email thread for those who feel im leaving things out.

Well that was not the apology I was hoping for, I expected better from the company I had previously had such a great opinion of from past purchases.
Please forward my concerns to your manager/the owner for review. I will be waiting to hear from them.

Thank you.

Dear Tradeex

I'm a bit disappointed in your response to my request. While I understand that you don't have a hold policy and hold no fault to you over that, I wish that you had been a bit more polite in your response. I had intended not only to purchase this rifle, but several others and reloading gear as well in the future. This interaction has made me question whether I should be doing more business with your company. I'm unsure how or even if you will respond to this email, but I hope that we can once again come to good terms in the future.

Please feel free to cancel my order then.

I will never understand people who decide to post publicly after a single isolated incident of human fallibility. Like how special do you have to think you are to truly believe an entire group of people care that you have full autism. No one cares. You aren't special.

I owned my own customer based service for several years. Experience and hard knocks teach you a few basic rules.

RULE #1: If a customer starts off an interaction by being needy, demanding, and threatening to take their business elsewhere if you don't satisfy them............ you (as a business)don't go out of your way to encourage further business transactions with that customer because further transactions are likely to go in a similar fashion.

just let it go man. youre making a mountain out of a molehill. the emails that you posted are no big deal. buy the product or don't. but know that you would be better of just to buy it, have a beer and enjoy the weekend. never assume emotion via email.

It would appear that's how they do business as well. Can't say that's how I do it, but to each their own I suppose. I guess being located in a less densely populated area tends to make a person value their customers more.

So did you put down a deposit for them to hold the item? If you didn’t they have full right to go sell it... and “sorry you feel that way” is actually a very polite response... or maybe today even that is offensive? Well I guess some people are ultra sensitive these days... and get offended very easily...

I'm not seeing a human fail on TradeEx's communications. I see a HUGE FAIL on OP's communications to TradeEX and his decision to slam them on an open forum when it turns out he was the author of this disaster.

1. Break your policy for me, I'm special.
2. Your explanation of your policies was mean.
3. I want an apology. I don't like that one. Give me a better one.
4. Let me talk to your superior.
5. (Threat) I was going to make a big purchase but now I'm not sure because you haven't kissed my ass enough.
6. Why aren't you answering me?

Oh Please..........................................
TheIHGuy: Sounds like YOU owe Trade-Ex a HUGE apology for posting a false slam thread.

seems like snowflake is offended by not getting a nice love letter back from tradex for something he DID NOT have the money for.then comes here to bash a great vendor, because policy wasn't changed for him,LOL..the Tradex people are a great bunch to deal with.and the oddball stuff they get is always interesting,

Well this post has turned into a dumpster fire of misunderstanding and people who just seem apt to be rude. Faith in the human race dwindles a little more every day.

I still don't see how they didn't value your business. you didn't have the cash, so there was no business to be had. then you threatened them. So, once again, it's Friday. you apparently have the money now. Did you buy it?

To clarify, their response to my asking to hold (Yes I couldn't pay for it until Friday, had to get back to town to do some banking) was "We do not have a hold policy, payment must be receive today.

Linda"

I know it's not the most offensive thing in the world, but I tend to expect polite responses as a customer.
That's a perfectly acceptable and 100% non-offensive response from Linda.

Note: Have bought several rifles in the past and always had a great experience, and great quality rifles.

This past weekend I placed an order on a rifle, and asked for it to be held until Friday. I understand now Tradex has no hold policy, and I can't fault them for that. Thats just how they run things.
The rather rude response I received, on the other hand, was unexpected. So I allowed them to cancel my order, hoping it would still be available at the end of the week, but couldn't get the bitter taste out of my mouth regarding the response. So I emailed back explaining my dismay.

"I'm sorry you feel that way"

Thats the only response I received. And even after having asked that my issue be forwarded to someone higher up with a response expected, I have still heard nothing back.
I'm disappointed with the whole experience, especially since I had a good opinion of Tradex before and had been recommending them to others, and had planned on buying a lot more merchandise myself.

The tradex fanboy club will be here soon, and they will sort it out for you (oh wait, they are here already). Then they will testify having received the bestest and uber greatest service ever! and the conclusion will be, it is all your fault.

I can only agree with them, it is your own fault, shouldn't have dealt with this s**** company in the first place.

Someone should read the thread before posting.

Polaris Don't forget: Fanboys are created through repeated, good customer service experience with a particular business.
