Unfortunate Experience

I still don't see how they didn't value your business. you didn't have the cash, so there was no business to be had. then you threatened them. So, once again, it's Friday. you apparently have the money now. Did you buy it?

I suspect I'll have to wait until Monday for a reply from Trade Ex (assuming this thread doesn't get deleted before then).

So did you put down a deposit for them to hold the item? If you didn’t they have full right to go sell it... and “sorry you feel that way” is actually a very polite response... or maybe today even that is offensive? Well I guess some people are ultra sensitive these days... and get offended very easily...

"I'm sorry you feel that way" is the proper response to someone with an irrational complaint.

I'm actually rather amazed how many commenters here fly off the handle about a review of a company. In retrospect my email exchange with Trade Ex is tame compared to the vitriol spewed forth here.

Hate to break this news to you , but you were not treated poorly nor did they respond rudely.

This thread almost has the undertone of malicious and premeditated as the thoughts put here by yourself are irrational and unwarranted.

Well this post has turned into a dumpster fire of misunderstanding and people who just seem apt to be rude. Faith in the human race dwindles a little more every day.

First Tradex now us? lol

There's an old saying that goes something like this;

If you take a look around you and everyone you see is an a$$ hole, chances are it's you that's the.......

Perhaps you've heard it?

Are you for real? YOU came to US with a public slander of a company based on an email response that we interpret as acceptable. Rather than resolving it privately, its like you needed a pose to jump on your bandwagon to empower the nonsense. You couldn't handle their response...now you can't handle our interpretation based on YOUR posted email string. So far you have accused us of "spewing vitriol" and you say that you are losing "faith in humanity" over it. give me a break

I would have been happy if they had responded at all past the "I'm sorry you feel that way"
Still haven't given up hope, which is why I posted this here. Impossible to know if an employee actually forwards concerns on or not.

Tried resolving it privately as shown in the email thread. Never received a response so I figured I would see if they were more active responding here. I never asked for any commenters to jump on band wagons or light torches on either side. If the commenters here don't like my experience or opinion, that's on them.

With each "update" this topic is getting more and more ridiculous. By now I'm not sure if I should stop laughing and start crying or just continue laughing?

This thread delivers. Laugh2

I had no idea that there was a demand for a gun store that included hugs and sensitivity with every sale, but obviously there is a market for it. :)

Can't comment on anybody's feelings as we all expect (or hope for) certain response, treatment, etc. etc. from businesses we deal with. However, like most here, I believe their answer was acceptable. (I am not a member of any dealer's fun club, including Tradex) Instead of e-mail maybe the OP could call them and discuss this issue in person because e-mails, no matter how written, can be impersonal and taken the wrong way based on our own mood at the moment. Furthermore, I also do not believe there was the need for starting this discussion at all but as I said we all expect certain treatment even if we're wrong. (And one should take the advice from others even if they disagree, especially if 95% of them disagree)
I've purchased several rifles from them and since I do not live far, AFTER COMPLETING the payment, I would put the note for them NOT TO SHIP, and the time I would come over and pick it up myself. Works every time.
And for the OP- I talked to Anthony at one point about the same issue as one of my orders was cancelled due to misunderstanding (he fixed it after) and like you I did brought up the 'regular customer' thing. There was a big sigh and he said if I only knew how many regular customers screwed him over after placing the item on hold with deposit only not to complete the payment for months. That was the reason they changed their policy and now is no more holding anything for anybody. You pay- it's yours. Otherwise...

Grow some balls, put on your big boy pants, and don't go shopping til you have some $$$ in your hand, snowflake.
The response I would have given you would have been far less diplomatic than that one.
Wtf is wrong with people these days,anyway...?

You threatened to remove your million dollar purchases from them unless they apologized for a perfectly polite post. That is NOT how you try to resolve things with a business. It's actually quite childish and is a conversation ender. I'm sure they have deleted your emails and had a good laugh. Of course now they can't afford the yacht that you were going to buy for them. Their loss for sure. You sure got them good.

Your emails to them were a disaster and you should be ashamed you tried to manipulate a business this way. Then you posted an undeserved open slam to them to try to manipulate them even more. Now you say you tried to resolve it? Nothing you did was an attempt to resolve it. You fueled the fire that you initially lit. The business just refused to play your sick little game. And you STILL after being told by everyone here that you were at fault, believe that you were the saint and they did you wrong. Unbelievable!
