All i see is a handfull of folks here perpetrating the "racist" type behavior with comments like yours.
Poor "whitey" right?
so black folks, asian folks, and other Non white folks don't hunt or those that do aren't affected because this is afterall.... just about taking privledges away from "whitey" right?
get over yourselves LOL
the province has already stated the areas the ministry has closed and thier reasons for doing so. As conservationists , regardless of ethnicity, we have to respect it. Like the Mule deer rut closures in region 5... we hated those, doubted thier authenticity and many folks hunted anyways and some got caught and charged, native and non native alike.
The ministry has also stated that they are no giving the bands the authority to expand those closures and existing hunts will stay in place....
so what's the deal?
If you have a tag and it's still valid , go use it. If someone interferes with your lawful hunt, call the CO and the rcmp. If you are concerned about interacting with first nations, go visit the band office. If you are successful, take the time to drop hides, lower legs ect at the band office and make sure they take your name. I'm as white as casper the ghost... yet I'm identified as aboriginal due to my dad's heritage.... not my fault I'm white.... not my fault I'm Metis .... but I take a different approach than most hunters I know and it has afforded me inroads into areas where non first nations hunters may be made to feel unwelcome.
I think what sets me off here is the whining from certain individuals who need stop acting like only "whitey" is affected by this situation because last time I checked..... white people were fast becoming a minority in this province.
