im thinking it is Nosler because i have Nosler Match ammo and it looks identical to it.
anything to do with optics is on us, so scope and rings are all on our own dime.
Darn nice issue ammo then.

the rifles themselves are what 2500-2800 and that is the Sako/Tika ones.
with the couple changes that where made for the Rangers and add on R&D im sure they where more than 2800 per unit all said and done.
but that is just the rifle.
i heard rumblings that all in for the entire package per Ranger the price was North of 6k per unit (case, tools, ect ect).
i havnt heard a concrete number, just rumours.
Are they standard T3x CTR mags that are causing issues or are they different 10-rounders designed specifically for this rifle?
Do they come with a spare mag? What kind of ammo are they issued with?
Rifle is issued with two mags. Nosler AB ammo loaded hot is what we were told.
165s? A major step forward comparing to the old enfields.
Thanks for taking the time to do the comparisons. It's greatly appreciated.
I'd just like to point out that the Ruger also has a 3 position safety which allows for operation of the bolt while the safety is on.
Ruger’s probably got the best safety in the business, as it physically blocks / catches the cocking piece on “full safe”. The mid position is just like a model 70 as Orion points out, you can work the bolt but the trigger remains locked out. Hunting with an M77 I usually leave the wing safety hanging out in the “mid” position when close to shooting, you can either rapidly thumb it forward or pinch it and silently swing it to off.
How about this, for the scope of your activities as a Ranger, and you could only have one of the rifles (pretend the C19 was available lefty) which would you choose?
