Hey, I'm amused sitting here reading my retirement life away.

Everyone go stand in the corner for 5 minutes, cmon back and be nice.

This could be a REAL GOOD INFORMATION LEARNING THREAD.

Don't let it go to waste.

BTW, if anyone cares, I know Horilka and pcvando personally.

They are not information trolls.

I consider them both to be advanced collectors.

Everyone please listen to each other and don't attack!

D@m, there was some good information coming forth!

I'm going to go have some fresh Florida strawberries while you guys are standing in the corner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

obviously a refurb. easy to tell still nice tho

Glad you kids are having fun by yourselves in the sand box.

I was hoping the silence north of the border meant that detailed photo evidence was being compiled on 1957 and 1958 in hardwood stocks. All matching, all original, non refurbed.

I can't decide how I'd prefer to have my crow this time around. With or without feathers.

Haha like I said, I will post them some time in the coming week :)

I'm just trying to have a good dialogue but this is too much fun!

Do you have a link to the thread you where you shared photos of the rifle when you first acquired it?

Or has the rifle never been shown.to the general public?

Oh, and Boris... tsk, tsk. You’ve been telling fibs over at SKS-Files. Shame, shame.

Lots of talk, pinky.

Still not a even one square inch of photographic evidence.

Creepy to find out I've got an online stalker (though, I must admit I am marginally flattered), but couldn't you just post some evidence and prove me wrong instead?

It could have been from old stocks and I’d wager that’s what happend... the letter series appear to use some older parts as well, I’d suspect Tula may have restarted production for whatever reason.

Oh, really? You must mean that older parts were used during refurb.

If your all original 1957 in a hardwood stock has some of these 'older parts,' don't bother posting photos--because it's a refurb.

I’ve heard some theories but nothing is concrete.

By definition, a "theory is about as concrete as it gets". Do you mean hypotheses?

Bobthebuilder dude....

Your friends with oldoutlaw right?

Ask him about his correspondence with a russian that has first hand knowledge that the letter guns were NOT assembled at Tula. This is OLD news

There you go Bubs. A big fat fib. At no point did anyone claim that gun was unrefurbished. In fact, in post 16 I clearly stated that it was a refurb.

Oh, and that isn’t a laminate stock...

As for stalking, lol! This isn’t the only forum I’m on. It was interesting to see that gun had come up there before. Even more interesting to see you sh!tting all over us.

You are correct, Pinky. That rifle showed up on both forums. And on both forums, it was shown via consensus to be

......(drum roll)......

(Stephen Hawking's Robot voice) .....a refurb.
