A few years back, ruger made a safari rifle in 9.3x62. Anyone here own one? Know where one might be found?

Ruger did another run of these M77 African's chambered in 9.3X62 for Lipsey's... Prophet River is getting a dozen in shortly, so get your deposits in...

I was reading Ruger recalled these as soon as they released them causing delays. Apparently firing pin spring and sear issues.
No surprise, my previous Ruger 9.3x62 needed a striker spring upgrade right out of the gate before as well.
I'm looking forward to the new ones none the less

The dozen or so we are receiving (next week?) are all finished the recall.

;) Now for my 'question' that I know you've been, ;) patiently waiting for, was there ever a full wood production run, chambered in 9.3x62 made for Lipsey, or anyone else??????
:)

I am assuming the cost of the earlier ones would be a fair bit less. Also not quite as fancy. I hunt with my guns so I don't shed as many tears as they get marked up.

Honestly, you won't save much getting an early run excellent condition African over the current run... considering the configuration it is a good buy... even at the current inflated Ruger pricing... I have handled a .275 Rigby of the current design and it is very well done.
