Ruger 9.3x62

No kidding. I wouldn't have thought they were lighter. Interesting

It is the third of the barrel from the muzzle end that concerns them... maybe overkill, I would think that it would be ok... I will know shortly, because I am fitting the .358 RSI that I have coming in to a new factory RSI stock... I expect to have to relieve the barrel channel some, but will measure before and after to see exactly how much.

Stop tempting me! ....... I'm not buying one. :)

We don't have scary bears here and already have several rifles that will suffice for moose hunting including a 275Rigby, 280 Rem, two 308s and a 300H&H, which when loaded with NPs will work just fine.

nothing can beat your will and wish for a 9.3x62 let be in the flow not against ...

Yeah, that would be just about a perfect rifle for your neck of the woods... I have one from the 25 piece 1993 run being imported via PR... but it is the standard 18.5" barrel... in .358 Win that is not really a handicap... the forend can't get much slimmer and have structural integrity with a .358" bore... one knock from the side and you would have cracked walnut... I would be willing to take that risk personally but Jason Cloessner says he tried and Ruger won't do it.... they may do a .338 Federal though.

Maybe the forend would look slimmer if it was longer.

You're not helping here.
You're only fooling yourself.... Lol

Sell the the 7x57 or 280 and one of the 308's.
You won't notice it in your wallet, or your lineup.

The .275 Rigby is a Lipsey's No.1-A (24" ;)), so he should ditch the .280 and both .308's... leaving .275 Rigby, .300 H&H, and his new 9.3X62 M77 African... super classy set. :)

I would have to admit that that would be a very good combo, esp with the 300 in there for a dirty day beater gun. I called yesterday on the 9.3s. Pricing is $1699.

Ar ar ar... you noticed our "tit for tat..." :)

Laugh it up happy boy! :)

Those #1s in 275Rigby should have been sent out with 25" bbls.

Just to balance the world, as the shifting ocean currents due to Global Warming melting the polar ice caps is enough to deal with, I will say they should have gone with a 21 inch barrel (Newton's Third Law).
