Glock 19X - Why So Many For Sale?

Maybe not a very small frame, but it’s intended for ccw and lots of guys use it just for that.

I hated the trigger, grip angle and length.

And yes, I definitely prefer my cz p07 for ccw

Soo you hate all glocks then? Because it’s the same as all glocks...
Shoots the same as all glocks...
Looks the same as all glocks but peanut butter......

The only reason people went buy crazy on them was because it was “new” like every other new thing.
I’ve shot them, they shoot just as good as any other 9mm Glock, but I already have a 17 & 19 so I didn’t need an in between.

Just watch, when the 48’s show up you’ll see them flood the EE after everyone realizes they suck to shoot just as much as the 43 did.

I think 19X is one of the best selling Glock models resulted in the number of people selling theirs. I can't recall going to the range without spotting another 19x, everybody seems to have them. Is it a bad pistol? No, it is an excellent pistol and will outshoot most shooters but there are just quite a few of them out there.

I Really like my Glock 19X, it is just a good shooter. All of my shooting friends like the pistol. I installed Zev trigger on mine and loved it even more. But hey I am a very impulsive buyer and just bought P226 MK25 and HK P8A1 this week and I don't need this many 9mm pistols so this is why my 19x is on a chopping block on CGN EE.

My newest pistol, the Glock 43X, is now my carry pistol! It is so slim, and light.
Ordered with Ameriglo night sights, seems to have been tweaked prior to leaving the factory. Back sight a fraction to the right, shoots to point of aim!

And I like the slide finish, have no time for the front of the slide cuts! But will not use them, so no big deal. It conceals way better than the Gen 4 Glock 19 I carried prior to the 43X.

The 43X & the Glock 48 are good to go, import to Canada? Something to do with barrel length?

The 19X was a gimmick gun since the beginning, not really something useful for the average consumer. Especially with that annoying notch on the front of the magwell which prevented the use of new Glock mags. I think this recent trend of people dumping them shows this clearly.

If it looks like a pig, it walks like a pig and smells like a pig, then it’s a pig. Because even with lipstick on, a pig is still a pig. Lol.

Not trying to bash anyone’s favourite gun, but I just can’t stand shooting glocks . And I’ve tried my share of calibres and models. Always the same 2x4 feel. Maybe you might not think so, but this is just how I feel. And god knows I tried to like. I wanted to like them. But every time I bought one , I ended up selling it faster than any other gun I’ve owned.

The CCW argument is retarded. It's not the slide that's important to be smaller for concealment, it's the frame/grip, that's what prints the most. The 19X (and G45) got the concept backwards. Not for CCW, AT ALL (it was designed for the military after all).. It pretty much appeals to guys who want a 19 but have gorilla hands. But by then, having a smaller sight radius and barrel doesn't make sense if you can conceal a full-sized frame, just get a 17.

People jumped on the 19X (G45) because it's new, but they quickly realized it was a compromise in itself.

People have been asking Glock to do a 17 slide on a 19 frame for CCW because unlike the 19X, the standard slide with compact frame configuration DOES make sense for CCW. It's not the slide that prints the most, it's the grip/mag. Lots of people have been chopping off their 17 grip to be 19 lenght and accept 19 mags.

Glock "kinda" listened with the 48, but as we know, the 48 was pretty much designed from the ground up for us Canadians so...

I would have bought a 19X if my 17 Gen 5 mags would have fit, but they don't so I won't.

I did a search back to February, and I see more Shadow 2's for sale compared to Glock 19X's.

Hey, start your own thread! :p

I know you all know this, but no one is saying it.
It's the glock submission for the US Army MHS program, its not for civilians , its not for CCW and THat's probably why its NOT for you, especially being Cdn and maybe why people are dumping them. There are way better glocks for civis than this, eg, G45, still dumb(practically) but you understand

... which barring the stock sights are perfectly acceptable handguns despite the usual nonsense I am reading about grip angle and trigger.
While the grip angle is definitely different, it isn't something you cannot get used to.
The trigger is definitely a pile of mushy crap, and deserves the hate. lol!

I’m a fan. Added double undercut and Apex trigger. It’s a great shooter but I would agree the pistol should come out of the factory with the mods commonly done.

I have big hands, I was expecting an FX-9 and looked at the price of Glock magazines.... there was a sale on Glock 17 gen 4 at my local shop so thought I may as well get a free pistol with the magazines I want. turns out that I really like the little gun and shoot it quite well. It is not my favorite pistol but its 100% reliable and does everything a pistol should do. Glad I bought it. As per the smaller Glocks I think they are for men with smaller hands and ladies, at least in Canada where only the bad guys can carry their firearms concealed.

Ive been facinated with Glocks since i learned some glock history. I've held them and fired them but i could never ever enjoy holding one. There's no wow factor and no smile on my face. Im glad i never bought one. Like others have said, it feels like a 2x4. If we could carry in Canada then I'd get an M&P or a P320 or HK. Just about any gun feels better in my hand than a 2x4.
But, we cant carry therefor i do not own a plastigun.

I'm a carpenter so I handle a lot of 2x4's therefore Glocks fit my hands like a glove:d... all the fancy curved grip guns feel like holding spaghetti to me.
I shoot my 19x better than I ever shot my g17 gen 3, and way better than the Fn509 Tac i purchased at the same time.
To each his own.

Really like my 19X. The only thing that I dislike are the stock sights that mine came with. I plan on changing that out eventually. I had hoped it had the night sights that the regular purchase came with.

Your 19x should have come with Glock night sights from the factory? Mine did. Did you buy used and abused??

19X was intended to be a service pistol for the US Army but they adopted the Sig P320. Anyone considering a 19X for CCW doesn't understand the basic of CCW. CZ p07 should be compared to a real Glock 19.
