Stag 10 build and range review

When the brake is installed it’s upside down and on an angle. How do I get it upright? And correct? I’ve removed and rethreaded the thing like 10 times

You need a Crush washer. 5/8”

Any suggestions on CGN dealers who have shims? Hand tightened the barrel nut on mine and it was perfectly in line with the gas tube hole on the upper. No where near torqued down correctly by hand. But won't tighten any further.

Using stag hand guard and matching barrel nut.

TNA usually stocks barrel nut shims

Lap the receiver to align the hand guard and upper. On occasion the shims will widen the gap between the pic rails.

I noticef the same issue with my buffer tube, I read online that a quarter in the buffer tube will fix the issue so I tried it out, and there's no contact and the rifle functions fine.

I can machine up a spacer if needed, at the moment after doing very little hand filling it does not seem to be making contact anymore. I have not got a chance to go shoot it yet however, so I dont know if it will make contact again while being fired.

Thanks for the tip, I can try that if need be at the range and make a spacer later if required

If you don't mind what combination of buffer tube/receiver extension and BCG are you using?

I used the Primary Weapon Systems Gen 2 Buffer Tube and Fulton Armoury Nickle Boron BCG

So since March I am dealing with a DOA rifle. it s not a build, its an original Stag.

My stag doesnt work, never worked, failure to feed, failure to fire, forward assist doesnt work, it is basically abolt gun.

called arms east, they told me to call stag.
called stag, they tell me they cannot issue me a rma they can only issue it to arms east, and that they would do that.
called arms east, they never got an RMA from Stag, they tell me to call Stag.
I call stag back again, they tell me they cannot issue me an RMA number, they can only issue it to Arms East, which they will do right away.
Calling Arms East tomorrow. will keep you all posted.

Dealing with Stag and Arms East is not a walk in the park.

I know a lot of you love stags and arms east but my story is certainly not an example of a stellar warranty process at all.

not sure how it will end, arms east will probably tell me to call Stag again... If they do ill have to forget this process, curse them and fix it myself. Which would effectively mean there is no warranty on these rifles, just a run around.

Was your Stag one that was imported by AE? If it was I have no idea why they'd pass you off to Stag. They would know that Stag won't directly deal with you.

If it was one that came in through a different importer I can see why AE won't touch it.

If they start blowing customers off who purchased a rifle that came in through them instead of honoring warranty I can see things (sales) going south really fast.

Keep us updated. Hopefully this ends up working out for you.

That’s too bad you’re getting the run around. I had good service from Stag and Arms East when I had one out of spec.

Not to be rude, but is it the rifle or something else? Arms East is a reputable dealer and Stag has a fine product.

I just completed this one, man was the barrel nut hard to torque! The supplied two-piece wrench immediately stripped its own teeth when I started to put some pressure on it to line up the ports for the gas tube :jerkit:. I had to finish the job with a strapwrench
