The Freedom Ordnance FX-9 OWNERS thread.

I'm really enjoying my fx9. I've had no feeding, extracting issues with mine. Shooting Blazer Brass 124 gr. I do notice a loud twang or "sproing" from the buffer spring. Someone posted (don't know where) that pulling the buffer and spring, then dropping in a stack of 8 quarters down the tube and replacing the spring and buffer improves function. Is this true or am I gullible? Thanks

Disregard. I found this in the FX-9 upgrade thread. Apparently the buffer travels too far in the tube so this reduces the travel.

Can anyone tell me if there is different generations of the fx-9 and how to tell them apart. I was lucky enough to find a new one at my local shop and would like to know what I have.

Thanks

I'm Looking for one of these, just missed order going threw Wolverine, any deals with inventory or inventory on the way.

Monday night, when I went searching for one, I had to search deep through several Google pages of 'Out of Stock' retailers.
I found one retailer with 9 for pre-order, kept going and found & ordered one from @ Londero's, tracking shows it 'Out for Delivery'. ATM, Londero's is Out of Stock.
At the time of this post, Gun Dealer in NB still has 8 available for pre-order, not sure on delivery ETA.

A few Mods with an experimental ERGO grip just to see how it feels. A new flat top ERGO from Bullseye London is being delivered.

Any suggestions for a $500ish (or less) red dot for the FX-9? Was looking at the Vortex SPARC AR but not sure now.

I just put a Vortex Crossfire11 on my PCC I don't have. For a $199 it is a heck of a sight. I have the Sparc11 on a CX4 Storm and it is $100 more and is no better of an optic in my opinion. The newer red dots seem to be much smaller. Worth a look.

Take Care

Bob

Quick question, FX-9 in the mail just getting some pieces for it. Looking to switch the buffer spring out. I'm looking at a carbine length one right? Not rifle?
