My My, how the tide has turned for the SKS...

I have a dilemma. I have a very nice Russian I have no intention of selling but I also want a truck gun. Kind of a toss it and forget it SKS. I hate to do it with my Russian BUT what the heck are they for, but to use. I may have to get a mixed up Chinese shooter and be happy.

Get a WK180C, you'll hit a lot more and not have to worry about scratching it

You Sir are going to cost me money. LOL. I may chase one down off the EE. I should really just use what I got but if the zombies become a real problem a guy can use all the hardware he can afford. What may save me I have an itch for a M&P Compact in 9MM, and I am tempted to get a percussion revolver and.....

My son just discovered my VZ Ceska bought from Lever Arms in 1990....now he's trying to guilt me for selling most of the 7.62x39 ammo that I got tired of moving around the past 30 years.

When SKSs first showed up in the 90's I bought a Chinese one with a crate of Yugo ammo for 219.00 . That was in the time when you could pickup a Garand for 350.00 and a K98 for 250.00. Heck a russian capture k98 was 175.00 and a N04 Mk1 was 150-200. I was just at Cabela's last week and a crate of 7.62x39 was close to 400.00. It is really sad I had that huge boating accident a couple of years ago and lost all my things in the Slave Lake.

When all these lost SKS's begin to rust away at the bottom of our great Canadian lakes, we are going to find very high zinc levels in our drinking water, not to mention the subtle aftertaste of cosmoline.

Trudeau is about to experience popular dislike when Canadians begin to realize how badly he has mismanaged the Covid19 vaccine situation. Who new the virus has the potential of changing governments up here.

What did you expect him to do more? He bought over 300 million doses from a lot of different sources, and can't really do anything more in less than a year considering domestic productions was sacked way before he was prime minister, even before Harper was prime minister, and vaccine manufacturers will inevitably prioritize countries with more money than us. We're not that far in line considering we can't make them ourselves. Now people complain he should have done more, and in 1 year people will complain he bought too many of them and we have to give them away to poor countries. People won't blame him for something no one else did, because he has a pretty face.

Trudeau will get out of that pandemic without a scratch, no matter how people here wants him to lose popularity. He handled it as good as anyone else could have done, and if SNC Lavalin controversy, WE charity controversy and the Black Face controversy did nothing to his popularity, the pandemic can only bring him more support from the left and center people. The virus won't change this government.

Look like if Mass Media is on your side you will stay forever in power.

Gentlemen, how the hell could the government have done more considering we don't produce our own vaccines, and obviously, those countries that do will first focus on their populations and also sell to the long list of potential buyers? Oh, wait a second, it's coming to me... hey maybe we should have seen this coming and had our own production capacity in place? You know, emergency measures planning!!? Pi$$ Fu@king poor planning from a long line of tunnel vision governments.

Bought? Really! What he appears to have done is "Ordered" 300 million doses for a population of 36 million. There is a difference. He is finding that out now. We rank 14th in the list of industrial nations for "deliveries" of vaccines. Why, because they bought the vaccines. Trudeau is nothing more than an empty suit. all smiles with his "We Liberals know best attitude?

The Provincial Premiers want to see the contracts he says he has sighed. Trudeau has refused to show them to the Premiers. All they want to know is the truth on when they can expect deliveries. I doubt I will see a needle in my arm before 2022.

More money? Are you kidding. Trudeau is in the process of doubling our debt, spending taxpayers money like a drunkin sailor and you think it is about money. God help us all.

They’re are a lot of apologists out there for the PM. Almost a year ago, I had an argument with a liberal supporter who argued we couldn’t make vaccines here ... no facilities, Brian Mulroiney’s fault, facility too hard to make, can’t be done, the site in Montreal won’t work, etc, etc. Now, we’re building a facility at that site and it will be a year from now until it’s done. Suddenly, we can make a facility there? Logic dictates that a country producing a vaccine will want it first for its own population ... this was easy to foresee. India bought licensing agreements, so they could make their own vaccines. Probably, we wouldn’t have been able to make enough here, but it sure would have helped during these “shortages” from buying from others. Any extra doses might be needed here as some are predicting we will need yearly shots or the extras will be given out as aid ... the only issue is how far we have fallen behind western nations .... no one cares if we are ahead of Venezuela or the Congo.
