Tikka are ugly

The Sako A7 roughtech, although not as light, is a great better then tikka substitute.

^^looked for that A7 .22 250 for a long time. Couldn't find one in Canada. Called the A7 "coyote" if I remember right.

I don't know, I think there is a lot uglier rifles than a Tikka. I do hate the plastic stock, Put a Boyd's on mine.

I may be the only one but I really liked the soft touch stock on my A7. I agree, much nicer rifle than the tikka and mine was very accurate with even cheap blue box ammo.

Thx Buckmastr!
I agree. I love my A7 soft tech .308. Just don't get bug spray on it lol! Know a guy that dosed himself with bug stray with the gun on his back and the softtech got all sticky and gross and still to this day is rough and hard now lol!

Edit : it wasn't me that did it or I'd show pics of how it looks now. He's not happy to say the least

Thanks 7mag
They are factory tikka stocks, a T3 Forrest 270 WSM and a T3x Hunter Grade 3 in 308 win. I got sucked in with the nice wood. And they shoot well.

My stainless Tikka has dropped a ton of game. Its a killing machine. Like others have mentioned its the all weather warrior. Snow, sleet, rain mud whatever it will take it like a champ and I don't worry about it. My nice wood stock blued rifles only make the fair weather hunts.

Just because they’re ugly on the outside don’t mean that they’re not beautiful on the inside , right?

You're right! My R8 is ugly or it suffers from the classic only a face a mother could love, but boy it is pretty on the inside.

I was never struck with the aesthetics of Tikka rifles, and found it hard to believe they could be worth the asking price. Thankfully, a friend bought one and let me shoot it. Now I have a couple, with my eye on a third.

Great fit, stiff synthetic stock, great factory trigger (easy/quick/cheap to upgrade), accurate and easy to shoot well. Agreed, not the prettiest guns (especially the T1x) but no getting away from how well they do their job.

I don't care to talk anyone into or out-of my way of thinking (anymore :) ) so I'm not looking to convert anyone to the Tikka brand. I am glad I smartened-up though. lol
