Lol JK
Weatherby Vanguard is a nicer rifle in my opinion. The plastic stock is much better quality with less felt recoil than the Tikka. No arguments here about the great accuracy of the Tikka just that the plastic stocks cheapen the rifle. The wooden stocked Tikkas I have shot were much nicer shooting and a lot better looking. It's hard for me to find any love for plastic stocked guns but would take a Weatherby over a Tikka any day.
I can’t imagine an uglier stock than a weatherby, or an uglier bolt handle than a rem 700 (like the lines of the stock though, but those panels on the adl yuck)
So do some people realize that a stock is one of the easiest things you can change on a rifle? And that there is a plethora of options for Tikka's?
Well, how about that Remington 783 abomination of a bolt handle?
I dislike Tikkas for their very limiting OAL mags and lack of aftermarket trigger options. But it’s actually their damn good looks that keep sucking me in. I think the Tikka T3x looks better than most factory offering out there. It’s all subjective. I would put a Savage Axis somewhere near the top of the ugliest factory rifle though. It makes me shutter just thinking about them.
They're average. I wouldn't say ugly. You want to be disappointed by a stock? Go fondle a Sako S20.
Tikka's are the Pontiac A z t e c's of the rifle world.
Savage are the AMC Matador's.
after spending $1000+ for a new rifle, you shouldn't have to spend another 3-400 for a new stock to make it "right". It should be "right", out of the box.

the downfall of the other 3 large companies actually drove up the value of the poor lonely Tikka, the quiet gurl in the corner that never spoke, never paraded around and showed off, just sat there quietly, as the other 3 loudmouths showed their true colors, went on a hiatus, screwed everyone over, disappointed from start to finish, and when everyone was sick of the theatrics and the drama, the quiet one in the corner got noticed.......and never disappoints, still isn't all that flashy, or voicetress, lacks drama and baggage, lawsuits, and yet still remains faithful.........I don't care how well they can dance, if they can't cuddle they get shown the door quick
Who are the three? Remington (obviously), Ruger and Savage?[/QUOTEid say yes to that as the mossberg hit every branch on the ugly tree.

I thought that was ruger...........where is winchester these days?? and the peeling dura-coat from browning?? then there is Sako, well we can't fix your ejection issues, so we're going to discontinue that model and try again.......only uglier and lighter this time around, but we'll throw in a few new features to keep your attention........
