Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

Just got call from Ontario CFO to clarify one item on another matter (non transfer related). While I had her on the phone, I asked her about transfers, among other things she indicated that they are just about to finish the June 1st pile. And soon they will start on June 2nd. She said I should be a couple of weeks for my own transfer... the transfer was initiated by Tenda on June 2nd... 5894### (even though I made the purchase on May 31). She said things are definitely moving forward and they got completely caught by surprise, one day they showed up at work (I am assuming after the announcement) and they had over 18,000 transfers. I guess the message is to have patience. I'm taking up Yoga now... Laugh2

It seems that Tenda batches their transfers, since one of mine was also bought May 31, and has a 5894### reference number (although they only gave me the reference number on June 14th).

I put together a new chart based on your chart, I am using 100/day approval the current average so far:

I think I'm not reading it correctly. It says 5897000 by August 17th, but we just passed 5893000 today, so at 100/day that would only get us to 5893500 by August 17th, no?

I think you posted in the wrong thread. You're looking for the BC Transfers.
The store is not important -- it's where you and your CFO are located that matters.

This thread is only about Ontario transfers so there's shouldn't be any out-of-order transfers here because other provinces are out of the equation.

Can you give one more digit on your reference #? I have one recorded from this same thread as 58930xx requested and approved the same day as yours, I am curious in the difference.

Im confused as there were posts from members who had been approved and their digits were in the 59###### for the middle of June but now were back at 58###xx for June 1st ? are they different for each province? at this rate I will not see anything until next August

Absolutely... NS CFO can approve the transfer in 5 days whereas ON CFO... if you just ordered you won't see your pistol in a year guaranteed or 100% money back...

It could be. Perhaps the dealer didn't initiate right away.

Edit: They transferred July 19! It took them a month!

Scary part is....a lot can happen in a year which is why I haven't purchased any others, personally, I just can't deal with waiting that long, that's just how I'm wired. Great for those of you who can.
My June 13 and 17 transfers, I'm not expecting until Dec/Jan and that I find tough.
