Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

It sounds like they're ready to quit transfers once October rolls around.
We should put some political pressure on them via Ford to keep going.
They are province of Ontario employees.

How would they be allowed to quit transfers? Don’t they have to process them all as usual? I could only see them stopping if the liberal government somehow forced them to

Likely wishful thinking. Processing clerks aren't management, they likely are praying the madness will stop so their bosses will stop pressuring them to perform.

Transfer approved today at 1:00 p.m. - 59018XX
Purchased May 31, Tenda initiated on June 2.

Didn’t know they worked Saturdays!!! Already picked up from Tenda.

This concludes all my transfers. It’s been quite the past three and a half months.
Thank you everyone for all the updates over this time period. Wolf, thank you for your grid. With all my transfers it proved very accurate!!! Good luck everyone and don’t forget to vote blue in the next election! The turd needs to get out!

So many talk so much about things they have no idea about on this thread. What happens next is unknown. Be patient and see what happens. Don’t get wound up about bs comments on here. Nothing is set in stone.

Got my notification from CFO today at 11:55 for a Tenda purchase, #59019XX. Purchased June 1st, transfer initiated June 2nd.

If they are working Saturdays they must be getting some pressure.

So many rumors and conjecture for sure! Here is a fact: The Ontario CFO is hiring another officer: https://www.gojobs.gov.on.ca/Preview.aspx?JobID=187047
Hope this helps move things along!

Which makes it unlikely they will halt transfers once the ban goes through.
Yes and it is a permanent position, but may be a replacement for a retiree or someone moving elsewhere, or filling a long infilled position that should have been there long ago.

just got home from TACCOM. I engaged a CFO officer in conversation about transfer backlog / delays and some possible ways to expedite the process. Their response was that they are not getting any additional funding / staff to assist and will continue to process around 100 per day until they are caught up. LOL! They did confirm that in ON. there are only 3 officers approving transfers and 1 of them takes time to answer calls / emails. The other 2 are supposedly uninterrupted as they process transfers. They also stated that when the new bill comes in they may be halting transfers from that date as opposed to continuing with the pile. That directive, of course, would come from the top down.

Keep writing and calling your MPP's and the Premiers office. Keep bringing new shooters to your club. Keep your wits about you.

Tomorrow is a BIG day for the future of our country! If you pray, say an extra one tonight.

I think I spoke to the other two. Anyways you can see the job posting on indeed.ca

CFO told me today, they are working on June 2

So did anyone talk about batch transfers and/or why they could not be done to help clear backlogs?

Ditto, June 2nd to Sept 10th 58998xx

Yep they're working today,

June 2
590032X
Approved Sept 10, Saturday!

business to private
initiated June 3
approved Sept 10
Ref # 5902###

If they were going in order that's ~1200 Sat, Sept 10th. If Ontario is 1/3 of all transfers, one could speculate Ontario put ~400 through on Saturday compared to ~100 on the average weekday. My 5976### from late July is still ~37 weeks away.

Got the exact same info from that CFO. He was hoarse from talking to folks about the same questions. Seemed like a decent enough dude. Said anyone currently doing purchases won't likely get a transfer till well into March/April of next year if your lucky. I'm still waiting for one of my purchases that was initiated on June 4th with Ref # 590####
