Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

Do not want to get political in this thread, but I believe the whole federal government needs to be defunded, I do not believe in 1/2 of what they spend our tax $ on. All about red tapes and lobby groups on how to divide the tax money.

And it's not even just that, its the overspending when they waste the tax $ on the red tapes and lobby groups plus the terrible and pointless programs, and everything else. Everything they spend money on a private business would be able to do a 1/4 of the cost. Though private business's aren't out there looking to buy votes by overpaying for things.

Thought that everyone would be interested in this email I got back from the ON CFO.
I asked them about the out of order transfers that were "accidentally" approved.

Thank you for your email.
Your transfer is assigned to the CFO for processing.
The Chief Firearms Office of Ontario is currently processing transfer applications received on June 7 and 8, 2022. At this time, we are unable to provide a timeline due to the amount of transfers received since May 31, 2022. You will be advised via email upon completion.
We have been advised by the Canadian Firearms Program that there have been transfers[red] (sic) approved in error out of sequence.
Thank you for your patience as we process the high volume of transfers.

We inadvertently got the new guy fired lmao

I’m really curious as to how they “miss” transfers? Like it’s chronological order. Most were submitted on a web service.

Probably a lot of ref #s are out of province, so in skipping those, they may skip some legit ref #s. (Just guessing)
A standard database filter should fix that though.

Ref # 60408
purchased: Sept 23
initiated: sept 24
B.C Business to private ON

Ref# 60510
purchased: oct. 08
initiated: oct.09
ON Business to ON private

going to be a long wait ooooooh boy

Why? The Ontario CFO has already stated in writing that some transfers were simply selected out of order by mistake. Nothing to see here..........

Yeah... Mistake... And one store only has gotten better results than all others. I guess some animals are just more equal than others in our socialist utopia.

If people could stop emailing and calling the ontario cfo, that wohld be great. Ya'll ready to go on a rampage for a few transfers out of sequence. Children. Cam we leave the ontario cfo alone so they can GET TRANSFERS DONE?!
If you have a reference number, call your POLITICIAN and complain. Let the poor staff in the ontario CFO office do their jobs! They got "shafted" by the announcement just like the rest of us.

can't please everyone eh? i mentioned these things (possibly batching by retailer, transfers out of order etc) as potential disadvantages of "batch transfers" several pages ago...and here we are.

yes calling the CFO reminds me of "that guy" that has to go up to the bank machine that's out of order as if everyone is standing in line behind the other machine for fun...except unlike checking the machine it only distracts the CFO staff
