This will be my first restricted, and I am not familiar with the process.
What do I need to do after receiving the transfer approval?
I am assuming that the seller will mail it to me, but am I allowed to bring it to the range?

You must wait for the certificate arrive through mail. Once you get it, you are good to go, I guess it arrives within two weeks after you get the transfer done - hopefully.

You will also need to wait for your updated RPAL card with the conditions listed for the restricted firearm.

It happens automatically, no form to fill out.

Mine took about 4-5 weeks to arrive, but that may have been slowed by the holidays.
