Are Canadian Street Cops Outgunned? The Debate over Police Handguns in the 1990s

PCC are useless for patrol use. They are just long handguns. I would rather have a shotgun than a PCC if I cannot have a rifle.
 
a pcc is more accurate than a shotgun and longer range and uses the same ammo and mag as the pistol,,,, and a hell of a lot more practical than a rifle or shotgun in heavily populated areas. Shot guns kick many cannot or do not want to handle them for that reason and if using buckshot the spread can be dangerous in populated areas,,, the shotgun is a close quarter weapon,,,, and if your going to use a slug,,, just use a pcc and the pcc will have the same shot capacity as the pistol,,, the shot gun usually is only loaded with 4 and the chamber is empty. The shotgun has its place but pcc is more practical for urban areas
 
Cops will always be "outgunned" by criminals, cops have to stay within their department's policies of type, make, model, etc., on firearms, while the criminals can use whatever they can get.

Cops also have to stay within their departments policies on when, where, and how they can use their firearms while criminals don't nor do they care.

in the end all you have is a pistol. it wont work against armour. there is a reason the agencies that adopted them quickly got rid of the them. the size of a ruger PCC is the roughly the same as an 870P with 14 inch bbl. wounding is FAR better with a shotgun than pistol round even out of a longer barrel. we will have to agree to disagree.

what ever lawyers, inquest juries and special interest groups think they should have also. Shotguns for the most part have taken a back seat unfortunately. some agencies are using them in a less lethal format.
 
Cops need the tools they need, and those tools should be the exact same as what citizens can own via PAL. No exemptions should be permitted. I was going to read the article knowing it was blake brown, renown anti-PAL holder psychopath ultra-partisan retard, but I got to the first paragraph and it was:

So I stopped there. Show me a non-semi automatic Glock. Deadly use of firearms; of course it's deadly use. If firearms weren't deadly we wouldn't need them. You want non-deadly use of firearms? My buddy said anything past 15yards, he grabs the C8 Carbine. As its more accurate, then trying to shoot someone accurate with a DAK Sig.
