Let's see your Dangerous Game Rifles.

That is the best looking Ruger no1 I’ve seen so far! The fore hand look fantastic, proportions, length, shape!! Looks really nice over all !!

I didn't have this custom stock made for myself, I purchased it about 1.5 months ago from Prophet River, which was on consignment. The workmanship on the stock was performed with perfection. The checkering is sharp with total wrap-around. It' chambered in the 6mm Remington, 1-10 twist, 26" barrel. Not a dangerous game cartridge, but excellent for Great Plaines deer, antelope and coyotes.

Yeah we have really tiny grizzlies, and hat makes them friendlier too….
And we don’t have any salmon anymore and don’t have huckleberries so I guess soon we will be out of grizzlies too!
Anyway, I carry bear spray when I’m picking berries! The world would be a safer place if I could carry my 44mag everywhere but I can’t so why even mention it…
I lived here 26 years so far, spent more time in the wilderness than a lot of people here and never had to use a gun or bear spray so far! A few times I was as close as 25’ from bears and didn’t #### my pants yet or panicked and decided to shoot!
I have friends that died from bear attack and none of them would be here to tell the story gun or no gun, when a bear get on you from 5-10 feet away from behind or your side at 30+km/h there is nothing you can do trust me! People think bear will attack you head on walking slowly from 100m away hahaha fools!

I see, so now a basket isn't all that's necessary.

Interesting speculation on your Late Friends.

Well sounds that not only you know it all about coastal bears but also mountain bears and bear attack too! Good for you to be so knowledgeable!

Ahhh the ol' amber liquid haha.

Been a while since I heard someone admit they were in the wrong.....especially online! Cheers Jim

Never said he was :)

Ardent, been more about the modern, composite whizzbangs lately but man, anyone who doesn't want that Mauser banner action you have there ain't alive. The cartridge seems like a real mild one inasmuch as 375s can be mild haha. Or at least, proportioned to that rifle.

That .375 Kemano is a thing of beauty, tastefully done.

She turned out better than most. It, and the .250 Savage Kurz are thorns in my all classic Winchester plan side.

Yea it feels like a .30-06, none of the head punch of heavier stuff, a sweetheart. Pretty impressive ballistics with a 260 Accubond for the powder burnt. I debated making it a heavier chambering, but a five in the mag .375 you can carry all day and shoot repetively without a deep breath or blood alcohol level is a wonderful thing.

Did you do the bluing on those lovely rifles? Rust blue?

Only the Banner Mauser, but that’s just a hot blue (oxynate 7), the M70 is original finish from the 50s and looked like new when I got it. Tip of the hat to a good member and fellow fine blue collar rifle addict here, he found it and pointed me there. I’m still on the hunt for a pre-war M70 .375.

Anything I blue here out is rust blue though, just on account of the chemical simplicity, despite the labour.
