Let's see your Dangerous Game Rifles.

Pick all kind of berries! Lots of blueberries and cranberries, some crowberries and some high bush cranberries too!

Those ain't huckleberries and there's a reason the Yukon Grizzly is the smallest extant in North America. The local Indians didn't even consider cranberries to be edible and cranberries were certainly of no economic importance to them (or the bears).

But hey, feel free to take your chances. Away from Salmon Streams and their fat happy bears thay have had tolerance breed into them, Huckleberry patches are the best place to find Mountain Grizzlies.

Not my original posts on the Africa Hunting Forum but I now own this .458 Lott, built by AHR on a left handed CZ magnum action. Currently sports a peep sight from NECG, but I've got a Recknagel 1 standing/1 folding rear sight to file in and fit to the quarter rib.

Currently building a second "express" game rifle - the quarter rib is of my own design, all hand finished/fit to a barrel profile I've designed (based off a 1930s H&H .300 Super barrel).

Look like you know lots about grizzly so I won’t argue with you! We do have salmon streams and we do have mountain grizzly actually that is mainly what we have.. anyway as for cranberries I can tell you the grizzly up here do feed on them and so does a lot of people up here, but you know better than me so take that for what it’s worth!

Yes, I have made the connection between berries and bears.

Not much salmon left in the YT river systems. Not even close to the coast like the Tatshenshini river where we used to see Chinook.

I guess they sold it all out for "The better of the people".

Very nice southpaw build. I’ll have to add a couple rifles here when work slows down.

Thank you - the photo of the Lott doesn't do it justice, the piece of walnut on it is absolutely beautiful but not so much that I wouldn't take it out. It's approx 10 lbs, and while the recoil is noticeable, it's far more manageable than I had initially anticipated.

I've got a left handed Model 70 action waiting for the barrel and quarter rib/sights. Deciding whether I want to build it in the style of a G&H gun with an original Lyman 48 WSJ, or go more British stalking rifle in overall styling.

The grizzlies in YT are rather small too. Definitely not BC size. But then, I'm not a Grizz hunter. Others on here posted pictures on their great grizz success.

I guess it ruined it for all of us. :)

I usually use a bucket from Canadian tire and carry bear spray. Baskets and nothing is the ultralight choice for those who "used to do it for a living" I guess
