Probably better off getting an Akdas Alcor .223 , and if you want to swap the stock get a Remington 870 stock adapter from True North Arms if you want to change the stock.

A lot of folks on here do know better than some of the Canadian manufacturers and some have even been consulted with various aspects of production and design. You don't have to be a "gun maker" to identify mechanical flaws and help improve processes. Even companies like Honda and Toyota seek input from line workers to help identify problems and streamline production.

The simple minded take that people that have paid much closer attention to the way some manufacturers treat their customers and products is "using liberal logic" is exactly why we don't get anything better. People can still do many other things that don't embolden manufacturers to take advantage of the situation by willing buying hot garbage to "own the libs"... Go buy Canadian ammo from SCORE or FH munition, get some new gear from Carcajou or Macabre tactical, even better yet, get someone to take their PAL course or volunteer at your local club to expose under represented groups in our community to it and maybe make the fold even bigger. Take the $2000 and donate it to your local Army Cadet chapter (they still teach kids how to shoot with 22lr Enfields), hell even buy a bunch of air rifles and start a youth night at your club. It's harder for the government to do as they please when there are more voices telling them they're unhappy.

All better ideas than handing over $2000 to a company that thinks the way forward is with grinders, dremels and half baked ideas. But whatever, it's not my money, at the end of the day people are obviously free to do what they want, but you really are an idiot if you hand over $2000 for something this poor quality.

Also as others have said Code of arms is associated with Crusader arms. They shill whatever they pump out.

Think of Canadian Inovation thats what makes Canadians better than Americans hands down.

Having formerly owned three of them, of which one literally exploded after less than 500 rounds (my guess is a headspace issue) and another one that developed a crack along the receiver within 300 rounds. Needless to say, I lost total faith in that gun and got rid of the third.

If thats all you're left with to try and embarass me, its quite telling of where you're at now in this pseudo-debate...

So. No, gunnies openly discussing technical details of the tools they purchase and use daily are not the culprits of gun bans like you suggest. Thats both absurd and unsolvable. Who in their right mind comes on a firearms forum and suggests that the prevention of gun bans now lies in never discussing the design and engineering of firearms ever again? If that makes you feel like you've offered a reasonnable solution, let me give you the news right away ; its anything but and you're alone in your corner.

Whats your next solution? Banning gun pictures maybe? Or why not closing the forum altogether?

You must of had a minority experience. 80k+ T81s sold here in Canada and you’re the only one I’ve heard from who’s had a T81 explode. Twice. I had two of them and they ran great before selling. No bells and whistles but they were built like tanks.

This on the other hand has all the bells and whistles and is most likely built like an egg carton. I think you will soon find that this certainly isn’t “better quality or overall value than a T81”.

If you’ve ever handled another Spectre LTD (Crusader Arms) product then you should know better.
Crappy (sometimes almost laughable) machining, rushed to market designs that haven’t had proper testing, questionable finishing and anodizing, no customer support, no FRTs, all at inflated prices.
They don’t give a #### about QC, longevity or proper testing as they know they won’t be around long anyway.

Don’t get me wrong. Looks like a fun rifle. But way overpriced - even compared to their Crypto for the parts set - and looking at that bolt - horribly machined.

I’m not ####ting on Canadian innovation in the firearms market - I’m ####ting on companies taking advantage of the political situation to churn out pretty turds at over inflated prices.

I hope these will survive the bans, make it past 10k rounds, and set a precedent for new semi auto rifle design in Canada. Ideally with some refinement and a lowering of the price tag. I also hope to win the lottery one day too
