Is there a need for more Cdn made AR parts?

Rick you should really start another thread stating that you are making these lowers. A lot of guys still probably don't know about your lowers because they may have not read this thread.

Agreed, I looked on your web site for it as well.

Could the new thread show the options(and options for engraving), and prices for custom engraving etc?
I'm surprised some of you Punisher fans haven't asked for the skull on the front of the magwell? (Rick can you engrave that there?:D)

Has any one asked about one in 7.62?

Thanks,
Ben

are you a couple days behind on emails? Just wondering if I need to resend mine, or if I'm just a douche.

The plan is to EXCEED the quality of the mass produced lowers, which is why we chose to use 7075 billet over cheaper forgings that would save a ton of time, the last thing I want is to produce low quality product, that market is already taken.
Larue,Vltor, Sun Devil are all high end kit and costs more than the run of the mill stuff.
I see no reason that Canadain made can not be better made, better engineered, and most importantly AVAILABLE once Obama gets fully into power.

7075 has been used in forgings for the last few decades. Fail to see how using it is an improvement over others, unless your referring to the tighter controls that you'll have over the end product by using CNC.

ETA: Just read the whole thread and my above comments were already addressed. The prototype looks nice but why do the Canadian companies always pic the right side for the engraving?

Just a hypothetical question here. If I provided you with an 80% lower would you be willing to engrave it for me, after you've caught up with initial demand of course.

How about some magazines? I know you can't make them with a cnc machine, but in the near future, would making some be possible? Im sure alot of us would like them.

The cost of the machines to stamp the metal is prohibitive to such a venture.
You would have to sell 10's of thousands of magazines every year for a number of years just to recoup your investment, let alone feed you and dozens of employees.

But I do agree we need cheaper mags. $40+CDN for $12 USD mag is BS.(did you notice when our dollar was at par the price of mags barely changed?)

We can mark the firecontrol (safety) with simple "Safe" and "Fire" as well as a number of other options. The PLAN is to mark both sides around the safety for ambi use, but again this could be an option.

Has it been decided if both sides will be marked?
Will the lower include an ambi-selector if it does? or a slight up-charge?

Thanks

So I have a dumb question if we put down a deposit any idea when we will see a lower?

I believe the timeline is 6-8weeks. But as Rick stated in another post, he is overwhelmed by the positive response to this. I am happy with that timeline. I am interested in his lower because it will be High Quality and CDN made. I don't want him to rush them.

I would also like to point out I reserved the Coolest Ser# - My Sons Birthday :) Now where else can you get an AR registered with your sons B-day. One day it will be his.
Aren't I a great Dad or what:):):)
