Both of mine came sealed in plastic. I wish I had a camera, but I didn't. Both cardboard boxes had been opened and re-taped. Again, my comments about moldy bread, stand. I knew there was something wrong as soon as I opened the box, even through the plastic bag.
There was so much mold inside the action and trigger assembly on mine, it had growth right into the springs.
Sounds like mine...
The box had been opened and the plastic bag was cut open so someone could write down the serial number, I suppose.
The white moss-monster looked as if it had digested most of the wood on my new rifle. It was pretty gross but it cleaned up ok. I'll probably be throwing out the chinwood soon anyhow. I am either grabbing a synthetic stock off the EE or possibly upgrading to a JAE. Sadly the weak Canadian dollar is hurting my JAE plans... I really wish I bought the stock in September.
