Norinco M4

Monday it is !:dancingbanana: Very happy with the condition . Haven't found any paint on it & the finish is great . Will post range results when I get a chance to take her out for a spin . This was my first purchase from Arms East & they are definitely in my preferred dealer list . Walt gave great service I will give him return business in the future . If you are on the fence about getting one of these jump off & order you wont be disappointed

My arrived from them today as well and in the same shape. Great service!

After seeing pictures of Dr. Lectors 10 shot groupings with the t97 I was sold on it's accuracy given that the shooter is doing his job. The one he was shooting had a trigger job, barrel re-crowning and a skilled shooter but it highlighted the sub-moa potential of the rifle at 100m.
Thank you for your kind words, Sir,
but your comments much overstate my shooting abilities.

It took me longer than a year to learn to shoot the 97 from bench
and to achieve some results. My contribution was minimal.
The heavy work was done by two of the friends I was blessed with:
Jason F, a very young man who is a genius in his field and worked
in his spare time for about 14 months to achieve
the best trigger job to fit me,
and Ted, a master of reloading and load development.
I have to say a big Thank You to them for their work
and for putting up with me.
Both of them happen to be better shooters than me.

When I got the first chinese M4 about 3 years ago,
I was thinking to go for a kind of competition, something like
Chinese vs. other types of M4(geries)
you know like Colt, LMT, Bushmaster, Stag, RRA, you name it.
However, it never happened, as I was too busy
playing with some other sh!t (including T97)
but I am sure other people will stage such competition between M4(geries).
I can't wait!

The other variables you mentioned sound like they were a big help, but it still requires some skill to achieve those groups. Especially the one where all the shots were through the same hole.

It is probably a matter of time before someone gets the m4 to that same level. That would be an interesting day.

I took mine to the range the other day. It performed as well as my Stag 15 in terms of groups with no reliability issues.

One thing that I did notice is that my rear sight need to be adjusted nearly all the way to the right -> [...o.] this was is identical to how my Stag sight was adjusted - its odd that I ended up with two such rifles.

Also, I noted that the sight was adjusted like this from the factory on my Norinco but I centered it before I sighted it in; this leads me to believe that Norinco sights these rifles in before shipping.

Also, there are no brass marks on the shell deflector - I have no idea what this means... can someone tell me?

What type of extractor insert should be used on an M4 service rifle? Do I have enough extractor tension?

Is the barrel having the same thread as regular US AR?

greentips... Are you going to get a NORINCO AR15??? WHOO HOO!!! First you "fell" for the non-restricted T97 (like I did...) and now your going to "fall" for the Norinco M4...

Hungry, calling HUNGRY... Don't tell him to buy TWO, if everyone does that, there won't be a Norinco M4 left FOR ME!!!

Cheers
Jay
P.S. Can someone confirm if the Norinco M4 is "mil-spec"???
