EESA has actual Rifle and Shotgun matches run under IPSC rules.
Great fun!
I can't wait for this years.

I'm going to practice a bit more with my shotgun...that was way too much fun (especially the rabbit stage)

Not at IDPA Club matches unless the club want to lose their affiliation. Side matches yes but not IDPA by rule and not for score.
( We shoot .22lr only in the winter months but they are not IDPA matches.)
Take Care

Storm, when are we doing this, I am ready anytime you guys are, lets set something up, I will come down and put on an SO course.

Who is this WE..........do you have a hamster in your pocket or something?
I am not currently doing IDPA at EESA. I have been helping Onagoth with his efforts.............but Hmmm with him being seemingly Anti IPSC perhaps I should reconsider!! LOL>
Yeah your right, forget I offered, me and my hamster will stay up this way.
Match was the wrong word Bob. Just a club level shoot/pratice.
funny in the Newest idpa magazine there is a picture of a guy with a shotgun doing some work.
You sit on the IDPA Canada National Council and try to promote this sport brilliantly. Don't let some chip shouldered big head get to you! I met him at the Napanee shotgun match. His bark is bigger than his bite.
I saw a rifle being used as a prop gun from the Nationals. After the Nationals their were Rifle and Shotgun side matches put on by sponsors. Lots of IDPA clubs sponsor 3 gun matches using IDPA rules for the pistol portion. I do know some thought has been given to setting out rules IDPA 3 Gun Matches. Time will tell.
Rifles and Shotguns are not to be used in scoring IDPA matches by rule as the sport is for handguns only.

I am the reverse........I am an IPSC shooter and have shot some *DPA in the past. Now some guys want to start shooting IDPA at my club (using the IPSC Sections props I might add) so I might just try it out as well seeing as I have so much blood (copious amounts) sweat and tears invested in the props.
That is in fact the hope with this crew.
Sadly others that wanted to start IDPA in the past as well as SASS felt that there was no need for them to make any props at all as IPSC had made sufficient for EVERYBODY! They then proceeded to blast the hell out of everything and gave up the ghost when asked to help rebuild it.
That's fine, but I like the 3-gun we shoot down south...

Ah I am just kidding, what ever help they need, I am willing to assist with, both Storm and Onagoth know that. But sorry Storm, I am not bringing the hamster.

Not anti-IPSC, just anti-IPSC Policy, wishing it was easier to come out and try just one match to see if I like it.
.
You are more than welcome to come out to a club level match..........just not the level 1s.
No BB required at all.
This I did not know....I thought BB was required for all IPSC matches. In that case I will have to give it a try, maybe see what all the fuss is about![]()
Well a club level match is not considered "ipsc" in the true sense. We operate by IPSC rules but it is actually more of a practice session. We shoot for fun not score. It allows us to set up some pretty simple stages etc.
Ah you share a love of Gerbils with Richard Gere?
LOL..........well now that you let the cat out of the bag, do you still want your weekly shipment?...........![]()
